1 ) INTRODUCTION

The Greendrop molybdenum property, located approximately 15 miles south of Hope, B.C. cons is t s of three or iginal M.G.S. claims, the Copper (4 u n i t s ) , Gold ( 2 units) and Moly (6 units). Superior Exploration made an option agreement w i t h the property owner an additional 4 claims (80 units), the Green 1 - 4 were staked.

The result of a reconnaissance survey car r ied out i n 1979 indica te the p o s s i b i l i t y t h a t a subjacent molybdenum-bearing deposi t may occur w i t h i n the property. A de ta i led geological survey, followed by a d r i 11 i ng program, was recommended ( J . D. B1 anchfl ower , 1979). The topographical survey o f this report was done t o prepare accurate base plans f o r the proposed survey programs. Engineering L td . was contracted t o provide topographic maps and en1 arged photos covering the or ig ina l 3 claims (12 units) during the period of January - March, 1980.

2 ) LOCATION & ACCESS

The Greendrop property s i t ua t ed a t coordinates 49' 08'N l a t i tude by 121' 26'W longitude (N.T.S. 92H/3W) i n the New Westminster Mining Division, British Columbia. The claims a r e located around and immediately southwest of Greendrop Lake, a small lake approximately 5 km. north of the well-known Chilliwack Lake. (Fig. 1 )

Access t o the property is possible via h i l i cop te r from Vancouver o r Hope, o r walking 4 kilometers southwest along the Centennial Tra i l from the northeastern end o f the Greendrop Lake, the present termination o f 1 oca1 1 oggi ng roads.

3) PROPERTY STATUS

The or iginal property consisted o f three M.G.S. claims (12 un i t s ) t h a t were staked and subsequently recorded on May 4th, 1979 by J.M. Mirko, a partner of Kodiak Resources Ltd. (a pr ivate B . C . company presently consisting of three shareholders including J.M. Mirko). Canadian Superior Exploration Ltd. had signed an option agreement the additional four M.G.S. claims (80 units) were staked over and adjacent t o the pre-existing claims. Claim data f o r the three or iginal claims a re -1 i s ted below (Table 1 ) and plotted on F i g . 2 .

4) TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY (Technical Procedure)

The orthophoto negatives covering the required area were photo- mechanically enlarged t o the appropriate sca le (1 :2,500 and 1 :5,000) and scribed by the scr ibing technique. & mile per inch ae r i a l photography of B.C . Government.

9 5) GENERAL GEOLOGY

Most of the property is underlain by quartz d i o r i t e and granodior i te belonging t o the Chilliwack Batholith of l a t e Oligocene age (J.W.H. Monger, 1970). These g r a n i t i c rocks have i n t r u d e d the Custer gneiss , t o the north and west, and Eocene-age c l a s t i c rocks along the western boundary of the property. Centrally these intrusive rocks have been a l t e r ed and pyr i t ized by l a t e r intrusions of a breccia complex. were emplaced subsequently.

Dykes and s i l l - l i k e igneous bodies of various composition

Minor molybdenum-copper mineralization was noted on the surface associated w i t h widespread py r i t i za t ion . zone i s the cen t r a l ly located breccia body which ind ica tes favourable geological setting f o r a la rge porphyry-type molybdenum-copper deposit .

6) CONCLUSION

The topographical survey has provided accurate base plans f o r the imminent geological and d r i l l i n g program.
