ThinPrep takes the same material which is concentrated onto the center of the slide in a thin, uniform layer. In routine Non-Gynaecological application Clinicians/Physicians generally want answers to the following 3 questions and invariably the initial cytology preparation may not answer the questions posed and this is where cell blocks can a valuable assest in aidng diagnosis and providing better information to the clinician without the need for further investigation at this point. I’m sure many of you are using cell blocks in routine practice with varying results- problem with current cell block technology is consistency and therefore quality due to human intervention, this is where cellient being the only automated platform has marked benefits over other cell block techniques.
