Today’s Worship Plan

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “...Whoever sows sparingly will also reap also sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”… Please notice the offering box in the entranceway; where we cheerfully place our offerings in the collection box. Your contributions to God help us preach the Gospel here in Cedar Key, around the world and carry out works of benevolence to the glory of Christ our Lord.

Welcome Visitors and Members! We hope that your experience today will add something meaningful to your life in Christ Jesus. If you are new to the area and would like more information about this church, let us know. If you are just visiting our island community, then we hope to see you again.

Would you like to confess your faith in Jesus Christ and repent of your sins today? Come forward during the last song and we will assist you in obeying Christ as Lord – or let us know your desire some other time. We can arrange a time for your baptism into Christ. If you are a Christian and wandered away from home with the Lord, you may make your desire known and we will pray for God to forgive your sins, and fully restore you to Jesus Christ and joyful fellowship with other Christians.

CK COC Food Pantry is working. We will have more requests because of the very bad storm and many people lost everything they had. We need to get the word out that we have received a large amount of good clothing for

adults and children.

We continue to have Ladies Bible class/brunch with Rachael Harris leading on Tuesday, September 13th at 10:30am. The topic is: “Becoming Women God Made

You to Be”.

Galina and Zhenya arrived safely to Slavynask, Ukraine for Zhenya to see his son and wife who he hasn’t seen for 1,5 year due to his cancer treatment. He wil resume his treatment upon return, God willing on September 27th, 2016. We appreciate your prayers. Galina and her Mama are still catching up on much talking since we haven’t seen her in 4 years! O man, how much I’m missing my partner! Bible question: In what book of the Bible is this common expression found: “escaped by the skin of my teeth.”

Why Will You Die?

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. (Hebrews 11:13 ESV)

Residents of Cedar Key are blessed that we had no loss of life due to Hurricane Hermine. As bad as all the property damages were, things could have been much worse if only a few circumstances were different. God has been good to us and for that we are very thankful. At the same time, it should be a wake up call regarding the uncertainty of our days upon this earth with friends and family.

You may not care to dwell on such a topic, but we can insure our future destiny by paying attention to our mortality. Let’s just consider how people die these days.

In prosperous countries like the USA, most deaths occur among people over the age of 70 and the causes are usually related to cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes and chronic lung diseases. _World Health Organization statistics. Very few people die from taking selfies, but it does happen. more details: www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs310/en/index2.html

(Ezekiel 33:11) God is love. He desires for every soul to live in eternal love, peace and joy.

(Jeremiah 28:16) It is not consistent with common sense to ask people to pray for you or your loved one and then speak

negatively about the Lord. “…the prophet Hananiah died.”

(Matthew 21:28-32) Many will die eternally because they are too stubborn to repent even when they hear the truth.

(Matthew 25:1-13) Many souls will be lost in eternal darkness because they were unprepared to meet the Lord. Are you ready to meet the Lord Jesus Christ who died for you? DB
