DIESEL, GAS OR PETROL?

The initial purchase cost for an industrial scale diesel generator has almost doubled in recent years. Reason for this is first and foremost the world wide stricter regulation of emissions which can only be met by extensive constructive mea- sures. Diesel emissions are said to be “carcino- genic”, because combustion particles are getting smaller through higher injection pressures and cannot be filtered out by the mucous membrane.

To clean these emissions and to free them of par-ticles that can reach the lungs, requires extensive technical measures that take up a lot of space, are expensive and high-maintenance. But for a gas/petrol engine a three-way catalytic converter with 2 lambda sensors is sufficient to meet the highest emission category. Therefore there are a number of benefits for the operation of a gas/petrol engine instead of a diesel engine:

Cargo-Loader with petrol/natural gas operation instead of diesel fuel with treatment of exhaust gases

> Switchable from gas to petrol operation / petrol to gas operation

> Significantly less space requirement for the treatment of emissions

> Reduced weight

> Fewer components, less maintenance requirement

> Proven technology

> Reduced fuel cost and only one type of fuel

(„Ad-Blue“ not required)

> Lower cost of purchase and affordable maintenance
