AnotherveryeventfulandproductiveweekwhichincludedourveryfirstBigPicturecamp.Agreatopportunityfor

studentstogettoknoweachotherandthestaff.Beingknownisakeytohelpyoungpeopletolearn.Ihearditsaid

oncefromaBPstudentintheUSAIfyoudontknowme,howcanyouteachme.

IforgottomentioninlastweeksTGIFthatwealsohadaninformationnightforpeopleinterestedinbeingpersonal

mentorsforthestudentsandaninfosessionfornewstudentsandparents.Bothwerewellattended.

TheUnitingCareCuttingEdgehouseisnearlyfinishedwithcarpetingcompleteandjustpaintingtouchupstobe

done.ManythankstoGlennRoberts(builder),BroniFisherandstudents(Bonnie,Brad,AaronandSean)foralltheir

workandhelp.

MostofthefurnitureandequipmenthavebeenpurchasedandinstalledreadyforthestudentsonTuesday13thMarch

Weareallreallylookingforwardtosettlingintothehouseandgettingorganizedforeachstudentspersonallearning

journey.

ThisweekwestartShadowDays,Workshops,Advisorysessionsandgettingintoaregularroutinewhichallstudents

arelookingforwardto.

GilwellParkStudentCamp

OnthewaytoGilwellParkwithallthekidsIcouldntstopthinkingofhowwellthiswasgoingtogoandwhat

situationswouldarise,TomypleasuretheCampwasoverallasuccessandIamverypleasedwithallstudentswho

cameandparticipatedintheactivities.

StudentsworkedtogetherinanInitiativeTrailwhichtheyhadtoworkasateamandcompletedifferentobstaclesthatweregroup

based.

Archeryitwasgreattoseethestudentshelpingeachotherandthosewhohadexperienceinarcheryteachingtheoneswhohad

notdoneitbefore.

WhilestayingatGilwellParkthestudentshadtocompeteonesetofdutieswhichincludedhelpingservethemealsandwashingup

thedishesafterwards.Ibelievethatallthedutygroupsdidagreat

jobandputin100%,whichIcongratulateyouallin.

GeoffsFamilyfeudChallengecongratulationstotheteamTheKingswhichconsistedofNoah,Ricky,AngeandJRforwinningthechallenge.

GauntletChallengethiswasacoursewhereweranorwalkedthroughaseriesofobstaclessuchasclimbingovernetsandpoles,crawlingthroughmuddywaters,goingthroughtunnelsandtyresandclimbingropes.Toallthe

studentsthatparticipatedinthisactivitycongratulationsasitwasnoteasyand4daysonandIamstillsorefrom

doingit!
