Alone

Intro

For a while Jesus was popular with the people wherever

He went – Rarely ever “alone” Mk. 2:4: The paralytic man was lowered down through the roof! Jn. 6:2: Crowds followed Him because of the miracles. Jn. 6:5-14: Jesus fed the 5,000 Jn. 6:15: The people were about to grab Jesus and make Him

their king!

Saints need to know that no matter how “alone” we

may feel in this life, God is always with us!

Loneliness can cause depression and pain – most people

don’t want to feel all alone!

Alone

Intro

Jn. 16:30-3330. "Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question

You; by this we believe that You came from God."31. Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe?32. "Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to

his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

33. "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

Jesus knew the popularity would end – His hour would come!

Jesus suffered being alone so that we never have to!

The world will forsake and deny Him (Jn. 1:10; 15:18),

but saints must confess Him! Mt. 10:32-3332. "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before

My Father who is in heaven.33. "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in

heaven.

The world continues to mock Jesus, but disciples must

never be ashamed of Him! Rom. 1:16: Must never be ashamed of gospel – God’s power to

save!Mk. 8:34-3834. And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, "If anyone

wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

Alone

ConclusionChrist suffered all these things alone so that no

Christianever has to! Heb. 13:5-85. Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with

what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"

6. so that we confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?"

7. Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.

8. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

I Peter 5:6-7: God cares for us, and so will never desert us

While man failed Christ, He will not fail His followers!

Let us not forsake Christ but live in such a way that we

are His friends, and as such we will never have to stand

alone!
