    This responds to Document Request No. 6 to the Department, which requestedtranscripts, memoranda, reports, summaries, notes, other documents and audio/video recordingsrelating to debriefings, interviews, and post-arrest statements by Ihab Ali.

    We have 49 pages of highly sensitive documents responsive to this request, which we areprepared to make available fo r review by Commission staff at the Department pursuant to youragreement that their contents will not be disclosed outside of the Commission.     DOJ DOCUMENT REQ UEST NO. 6The N ational Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the"Comm ission") requests that the Department of Justice (DO J or the "respondent")provide the C omm ission w ith copies of the follow ing docum ents no later thanSeptember 12 , 2003 (the "production date"):1. Transcripts, memoranda, reports, summaries, notes, other documents, andaudio/video recordings relating to debriefings or interviews of, and any post-arrest statements m ade by, the follow ing individual: lhab Ali.The Commission requests that the documents requested above be provided as soon asthey are available, even though all requested documents may not be provided at thesame time, through means of a "rolling" production.If any requested documents are withheld from production, even temporarily, based onan alleged claim of privilege or for any other reason, the Commission requests that therespondent, as soon as possible and in no event later than the production date, identifyand describe each such docum ent or class of docum ents, as well as the alleged basisfor not producing it, with sufficient specificity to allow a mean ingful challenge to anysuch withholding.
