Whites Spaces and the TV Industry: Incentive Auctions & TV Broadband Service
As the government looks for new revenues sources, spectrum auctions threaten the allocation for White Space.
The question has to be asked “Is the White Space spectrum safe?”
Is there an opportunity for over the air TV stations to jump into the White Spaces spectrum and deliver metrowide broadband service?
Is the TV Reallocation legislation creating insecurity for White Spaces investors, service providers, and equipment vendors?

Trials and Beyond The US Rollout Report
Prior to the January 2011 FCC Database approval order, White Spaces trials in rural areas started appearing.
These trials occurred in Wilmington, NC, Blacksburg, VA, Humboldt County, CA and other geographies.
The panel will provide reports on recent trials of new products, devices, and the databases being deployed both in the U.S.

White Spaces Backhaul: What is the Opportunity
Cellular backhaul is a bottleneck for Cellco’s. If there is no cable company or fiber provider near the
new LTE radios or at the existing towers, cellco’s are left with building fiber or paying for expensive special access.
White Spaces is unlicensed and can blast through trees and foliage. With a large budget for backhaul and limited competitors, White Spaces radio vendors may have their first and most significant revenue opportunity in the form of selling backhaul to Cellcos.
Is White Spaces the new alternative for cellco backhaul? The panel will talk about cellco deployments of White
Spaces for backhaul in rural areas.

Sharing the Future of Spectrum
The Government wants to hold another spectrum auction, but the reality is that the technology is making spectrum use more dynamic.
The future of spectrum can be found not only in the use of databases, but how the technologies of 4G, 5G and beyond can be deployed.

Report on Global Trials and Rollouts
Global Trials and Rollouts: White Spaces Trials of Radios, Database use, and Applications are accelerating around the world.
The mix of vendors and applications has been impressive and provides solid information about the ability of unlicensed White Spaces to be managed using a database.
White Space has propagation characteristics far exceeding 2.4GHz used by WiFI or 900MHz.
The panel will provide reports on recent trials of new products, devices, and the databases being deployed internationally.

Pioneers Get Shot! Colonists settle down and live well.
How do we get the trials past the pioneer stage and into the marketplace.
We talked about the Wild West of Super WiFi, but is White Space now experiencing the stage where Colonists are moving in.

SuperWiFi: Sizing the Spectrum of the White Spaces Market
The opportunities in Super WiFi have been world wide and yet at the same time uncertainty about the size of the opportunity has put us some strategies at risk.
Where do we stand in the market and how do we discover the opportunity.
