ULTRABOND
365 DESCRIPTION Ultrabond 365, methyl methacrylate adhesive system is formulated for anchoring threaded rods, bolts and fasteners into concrete, grout-filled block and unreinforced masonry as well as anchoring rebar dowels and smooth dowels into pavement/concrete. Especially for use in extended temperature environments, from 0°F to100°F (-18° to 38°C). It is a non-sag, high strength, high modulus structural anchoring gel that has been tested in accordance to AC-58 for creep, seismic, freeze-thaw and damp/wet hole application. PROPERTIES Tension Load: (4000psi concrete, ½” rod) 17,162 lbs.
Working time: 5-6 minutes @ 75°F (24°C) Load Time: 30 minutes @ 75°F (24°C)
GENERAL USES and APPLICATIONS
High strength anchor installations acceptable for long-term sustained loads including seismic zones Grouting dowel bars and tie bars for full-depth concrete pavement repairs. Anchoring/fastening into solid base materials: stadium seating, pallet racking, airport runway/taxiway expansion. Anchoring/fastening into hollow base material using screens
ADVANTAGES and FEATURES
Minimum down time of 30 minutes at 75°F (24°C) Low temperature environments. 0°F to 100°F (-18° to 38°C) Moisture insensitive and can be used in damp holes 100% solvent free system with low VOC content

1. Use lower value of either bond strength or steel strength for allowable tensile load.
2. Ultimate load values in 2,000 and 4,000 psi stone aggregate concrete. Ultimate loads are indicated for the embedment shown in the Embedment in Concrete column. Performance values are
based on the use of minimum Grade 60 reinforcing bar. The use of lower strength rods will result in lower ultimate tension loads.
3. SHEAR DATA: Provided the distance from the rebar to the edge of the concrete member exceeds 1.25 times the embedment depth of the rebar, calculate the ultimate shear load for the rebar
anchorage as 60% of the ultimate tensile strength of the rebar.
COMBINATION LOADS TENSION and SHEAR REDUCTION CALCULATIONS
Allowable loads for anchors under both tension and shear loading at the same time (combination loading) will be lower than
the allowable loads for anchors subjected to 100% tension or 100% shear. Use the following equation to evaluate anchors in
combination loading conditions.
Na = Applied Service Tension Load Ns = Allowable Tension Load
Va = Applied Service Shear Load Vs = Allowable Shear Load

1. Allowable load values are based on masonry construction consisting of 8-inch-wide, Grade N, lightweight, medium-weight, or normal-weight masonry units conforming to ASTM C 90 and UBC Standard 21-4. Mortar must be prepared in accordance with Section 2103 of the code and UBC Standard 21-15. Grout must have a minimum compressive strength of 2,000 psi and must meet the coarse grout proportion limits specified in Table 21-B of the code. Grout must be prepared in accordance with Section 2103 of the code and UBC Standard 21-19. The specified compressive strength of masonry, f'm, at 28 days must be a minimum of 1,500 psi.
2. Anchor installations are not permitted in mortar joints.
3. The allowable tension load must be the lesser of the tabulated bond strength and the allowable steel strength . The allowable shear capacities may be increased for
duration of load in accordance with Section 1612.3.3 of the code. Resistance to earthquake loads is not allowed.
4. Bond strength loads are based on a safety factor of 4.0.
5. Displacement under tabulated allowable loads is 1/8 inch or less.
6. The tabulated values are for anchors installed at the critical edge distances (Ccr ) and critical spacings (Scr). Critical edge distance is the least edge distance at which the tabulated allowable load capacity of an anchor is applicable without applying a load reduction factor. Critical spacing is the least anchor spacing distance at which the tabulated allowable load capacity of an anchor is applicable such that the anchor is not influenced by neighboring anchors.

1. Allowable working loads for the single installations under static loading should not exceed 25% capacity of the
allowable load of the anchor rod.
2. Ultimate load values in 2,000 and 4,000 psi stone aggregate concrete. Ultimate loads are indicated for the
embedment shown in the Embedment in Concrete column. Performance values are based on the use of high
strength threaded rod (ASTM A 193 Gr. B7). The use of lower strength rods will result in lower ultimate tension and
shear loads.
3. Linear interpolation may be used for intermediate spacing and edge distances (see pages 5 and 6).

Inhalation: Move to fresh air; give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Call a physician if symptoms persist. Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician if symptoms persist. Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with mild soap and water. Get medical attention if skin irritation or dermatitis persists. Ingestion: Give plenty of water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. Other: Referral to a physician is recommended if there is any question about the seriousness of the injury/exposure. If sensitization occurs, future contact with the material should be avoided. Note to physician: Keep victim under observation. In case of shortness of breath, give oxygen. Symptoms may be delayed.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5. Fire Fighting Measures (Part A)
Flash Point: 64 °F (17.8 °C) Flammable Limits: N/D Flammable properties Flammable by OSHA criteria. Can be ignited easily and burns vigorously. Strong oxidizer. Contact with combustible material may cause fire. Organic peroxide. Heat may cause the containers to explode. Extinguisher Media Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Water Fog
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazard Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the floor and in the bottom of containers. Vapors may be ignited by a spark, a hot surface or an ember. Greatly increases the burning rate of combustible materials. Special Fire Fighting Procedures Firefighters must use standard protective equipment including flame retardant coat, helmet with face shield, gloves, rubber boots, and in enclosed spaces, SCBA. Fight fire from maximum distance or use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles. Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk. Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety device or any discoloration of tanks due to fire. Containers should be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build up. Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out. For massive fire in cargo area, use unmanned hose holder or monitor nozzles, if possible. If not, withdraw and let fire burn out. Some of these materials, if spilled, may evaporate leaving a flammable residue. _________________________________________________________________________________________________

Personal Precautions: Avoid all personal contact. In enclosed areas, cleanup personnel should wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Environmental Precautions Cover spills with sawdust, vermiculite, or other absorbent material to minimize spreading of the material before collecting.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 7. Handling and Storage (Part A)
Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid inhalation of vapors. Use with adequate ventilation. Use appropriate personal protection equipment (Section 8). Wash thoroughly after handling. Storage: Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. For maximum shelf life, store between 4.4°C (40°F) to 26.7°C (80°F). Do not store above 43.3°C (110°F). Do not store near combustible materials. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
