Mean annual creek flow – 2.7 GL or 2,700,000,000 litres which is around 1,600 Olympic swimming pools Rainfall dominated storm water flow, with permanent water in lower catchment from a spring
There was 170Tons or around 2,200 wheel barrows per year of sediment impacting on Port Noarlunga aquatic reserve.
It also had the highest sediment load per hectare of catchment according to Adelaide coastal waters study in 2005.

Think about this• We consider our place to be our home along with a connection to the street and
suburb we live in.
• There is also another part of our place and that is the geographic place of the water catchment.
• As there are many suburbs within the Christie creek catchment, there is also a geographic connection between our place and future water quality.
• Because many of our diverse school oval and park landscapes and their green health will soon be dependant on what transpires around our place.

What does it mean to me?
• We try not to harm our pot plants, so try not to harm your local park
• As we hold the key to a sustainable place by being aware that what rain falls on the road or gutter is now going to be part of our own local landscape.
Oils and chemicals and our place.
• So, now that there is going to be re-use of stormwater around our place then there is the need to be aware of the implications of any excessive oil or chemical spill that may have on future water quality.
Please clean up any spills
and litter.
