    Greetings from Manila Business College!

    We are pleased to inform you that Manila Business College Student Council and the MBC

    graduating batch of 2011 will be conducting a seminar with the theme STEP UP! Changingthe world diversifying through Response and Making a Difference for the Society - ACorporate Social Responsibility Advocacy Campaign to be held on December 4, 2010.

    As defined by many, Corporate Social Responsibility is a form of corporate self-regulationintegrated into a business model. Ideally, Companies nowadays partake in this form oforganizational development as a lot of our fellow citizens suffer from poverty and lifethreatening calamities. CSR-focused businesses would proactively promote the publicinterest by encouraging community growth and development, and voluntarily eliminatingpractices that harm the public sphere, regardless of legality. Essentially, CSR is thedeliberate inclusion of public interest into corporate decision-making, and the honoring of atriple bottom line which are people, planet and profit.

    In the fulfillment of the project of the MBC Student Council and the MBC graduating batch of2011, we will hold a Social Entrepreneurship Seminar on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at ourcollege campus auditorium located at MBC Bldg 1671 Alvarez St. Sta. Cruz, Manila.

    Our objective is:1. To develop the mindset of the participants to be a socially responsible person to the

    environment2. To encourage the participants to step up for the society through the changing the

    environment3. To help the participants realize that our country needs each individuals help by doing

    social works4. To encourage the students of Manila Business College to be active and learn the real

    meaning of Corporate Social Responsibility
