SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER May 20 and May 21, 2017

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

MEMORIAL DAY MASS MAY 29TH. The Memorial Day Mass this year will take place at 9:30AM at St. William. Please join us and celebrate Mass in remembrance of all who have served and paid the ultimate price for our freedom. ………………………………………………………………… THE PARISH OFFICE will be closed Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day. …………………………………………………………………. FR. ALEX will be away Monday, May 22 thru Thursday, May 25th. A communion service will take the place of Mass at each Parish. Father will resume the regular Mass schedule on Fri-day, May 26th. …………………………………………………………………. LADIES TEA! St. William is hosting a Ladies High Tea on Saturday June 17th from 1:00—3:30PM in the Sr. Terry Mar-tin Fellowship Hall at Immaculate Heart of Mary. As you may remember, this is a very classy and fun event. The theme for the event this year is “All are welcome in this place.” Start planning your table with your special china, pick out a fun hat and join ladies from the community. Tickets are $5.00 per person and will be on sale clos-er to the date. …………………………………………………………………. ST. VINCENT de PAUL will be accepting your free will of-fering next weekend. Your generosity sustains our work in the Mission Field and we are forever grateful to you. …………………………………………………………………. LAUDATO SI: “In the meantime, economic powers continue to justify the current global system where priority tends to be given to speculation and the pursuit of financial gain, which fail to take the context into account, let alone the effects on human dignity and the natural environment. Here we see how environmental deterioration and human and ethical degradation are closely linked.” …………………………………………………………………. MASSES: if you desire to have a Mass said on a specific date, it is necessary to call the office a few months ahead of that date. With one priest, two churches and over 500 families, Masses tend to fill up at least 5 months ahead of time. Also remember, you can have the Gifts carried to the Altar during the Offertory in memory of a loved one. ………………………………………………………………… ALERT SYSTEM: Both parishes have an e-alert system whereby you are notified of such items as prayer requests, meetings, etc. If you are not a part of the system and wish to be included, please call or email the office so we can include you in the list. Be sure to specify which parish you are from. ………………………………………………………………….
