Dear IHM Families,
Please make sure you come out to our IHM Bazaar to-
morrow! We have over 20 vendors, Christmas Crafts for
the kids and most importantly a visit with Santa! All
money raised will go towards enhancing the school cur-
riculum and making safety improvements to our campus.
I want to thank all the table leads, the vendors, the
home and school board and Bridget Berns for all their
hard work putting this amazing event together! Thank
you for your dedication to the IHM School Community!
The trimester is winding down. When the students re-
turn from Thanksgiving break, we will enter the final
week. Please make sure you are checking Option C, and
communicating with your child’s teacher to see how your
child is progressing.
I hope this weekend you enjoy your time with your
families. Please make sure you get to church for the last
week of Ordinary Time. Advent starts next Sunday!
Give it Your Best!
Mr. Lowry

IHM Shop with Scrip Program
Are you getting ready to shop for the holidays? You should take advantage
of our Shop with Scrip program! The last day to place an order for Christmas is
Sunday, December 15, 2019, for pick up on either Thursday, December 19
or Sunday, December 22, 2019.
IHM’s Shop with Scrip program is a wonderful way to offset tuition payments!
Scrip is your first line of financial aid available through Immaculate Heart of
Mary School. Through the Scrip program, you can purchase gift cards for rou-
tine expenses. Through the rebates earned through the Shop with Scrip pro-
gram, credits are accumulated through the end of April each year and then ap-
plied to the next year’s tuition.
For 8th Grade Families, you can apply your Scrip credit earned to your high
school tuition! This fundraising program allows our families to shop where you
always shop, buy what you always buy, and not spend one penny more than you
already spend!! Your regular shopping habits can turn your hard earned dollars
into a tuition credit.
The Shop with Scrip Program offers gift cards for over 750 retailers, including
department and specialty stores, supermarkets including Acme, Shop Rite, Giant
and Weis, gas stations, hotels, restaurants, and universal Discover cards. The
discounts vary from retailer to retailer. You can even use Kohl’s gift cards to
pay your Kohl’s credit card bill! For retailers offering a 4% or less discount,
families will have the whole rebate credited to tuition. For retailers offering a
5% or higher discount, the rebate is divided in half, between your tuition and
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

please see https://www.shopwithscrip.com/shopwithscrip-ret ailers.
You can also pre-order all of your Supermarket Scrip. Acme, Shop Rite, Giant
and Weis will be at a 3% credit. There will still be stock available for purchase
on Thursdays for those last minute needs.
In order to place your order, simply send an email to [email protected] by
Sunday evening at 8:00 pm. The email must contain your family name, the stores
you wish to order, and the amounts.
Once your order is submitted via email on Sunday evening, Scrip is available for
pick upon Thursday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in FSH (September
through last week in May) or on Sundays in the church vestibule. On Thursday
evenings, Shop Rite and Acme gift cards are available, in addition to a small sam-
pling of merchant/restaurant gift cards for direct sale for those unexpected
needs. On Sundays, only pick-ups are available.
If you apply for financial aid through the Archdiocese, you may receive addi-
tional money as a result of your Scrip purchase.
We are also in need of Scrip sellers on Sunday mornings. If you would like to
volunteer your time, please let us know.
Please direct all Scrip questions to: [email protected].

The top 5 logo designs will follow this article. You can also see the lo-
gos displayed in the hallway leading into Father Sullivan Hall.
Our recipes this week are both holiday cocktails / mocktails. Leigh
Anne shared a recipe for Apple Pie Sangria. Tastes just like Thanks-
giving dessert (everyone's favorite part!):
https://inspiredbycharm.com/apple-pie-sangria/ This can easily be
made non-alcoholic for the whole family to enjoy by skipping the alco-
hol and using sparkling cider, ginger beer, ginger ale, or sparkling wa-
ter instead. Wanda says this Apple Butter Old Fashion is “to die for.”

Our book recommendation for this week leading up to Thanksgiving
comes from the I Can Read Series (level 3), It’s Thanksgiving! by Chil-dren's Poet Laureate Jack Prelutsky. One Amazon reviewer said, “This is a classic Thanksgiving book. My favorite! It is clever and funny. I've read the poems to my students for years and now to my grandsons.”

8p)
