From Fr. Mark’s Desk: Merry Christmas!! Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all you lands. Sing to the Lord; bless his name. Announce his salva on, day a er day. Tell his glory among the na ons; Among all peoples, his wondrous deeds. Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; Let the sea and what fills it resound; Let the plains be joyful and all that is in them. Then shall all the trees of the forest exult. They shall exult before the Lord, for he comes; For he comes to rule the earth. He shall rule the world with jus ce And the peoples with his constancy. Since the beginning of the pandemic last spring, Fr. Auer would call me or drive to St. Linus on Sunday a ernoon unannounced to see how everything was going. I really grew to appreci-ate the Sunday a ernoon visits. On Sunday December 13th, Fr. Auer visited in early a er-noon. I wasn’t here when he arrived, so he le me a note. The note said that the church looked great and that we should hang in there for Christmas. The next day he passed away suddenly. His final note was a note of support, encouragement and well wishes. That is simp-ly the type of man and priest Fr. Auer was to so many and to me. His faith in Almighty God, his love of the Church and Priesthood, and his undying desire to serve ‘the people’ defined his life. We will all miss him. Rest in Peace, Good and Faithful Servant! Have a great week! Fr. Mark Walter

The St. Vincent de Paul Society

LOVE IN OUR WORK Today is the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. During our New Year, may our families “grow in wisdom and have the favor of God upon them.” This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring Christmas to the hearts of the poor, by assisting families with food, and providing help with utility and rent bills, etc. Thank You!

The poor and the sick are the heart of God.

In serving them, we serve Jesus Christ. —St. Camillus de Lellis

PLEASE NOTE: We are always looking for new members or volunteers. Leave your name and number

particular for the intentions of Pope Francis:

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, in you we contemplate

the splendor of true love, to you we turn with trust.

grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer,

authen c schools of the Gospel and small domes c Churches.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again

experience violence, rejec on and division: may all who have been hurt or scandalized

find ready comfort and healing.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer.
