All of these works consist of experimental elements.

About Portfolio

New software has been used in each of these works other than photoshop.


Corel Painter and Gaston had a major influence in the creation of these works.

Experiments pertain to the tools in new software and the use of the Wacom Tablet.

“Alien Invasion 2”Sculptris was used to create the aliens. They were created for me to experiment with the tools that are provided in Sculptris.

“Ghost Hand” I experimented with tools in photoshop, layering, and the opacity of the images.

“Hands 2” This experiment was with background gradient colors, layering, color, and filters in photoshop.

“Hand 4”I used tools from Corel Painter to experiment with brush tools and a Wacom Tablet to assist in creating the effects of the background.

• With Gaston being a new program for me, I experimented on how to create different shapes.

“Morning Figure” description

“Morning Figure” contains an object that resembles the effects that occur when using

a spinning table to make pottery.

The effect that was created was interesting and it formed a 3-dimensional object that looks

similar to a futuristic spaceship with its bilateral symmetry and wide body.

“Dark Hole” Information

“Dark Hole” consists of only objects created using the Gaston Software. Due to its new nature to me, this piece experiments with the different shapes along with color,

layering, opacity, and lighting.

Sickness

During the production of this piece I was sick with Tonsillitis and I was in a lot of pain and nasal congestion.

“Tonsillitis 4” and “Tonsillitis 5” contains colors and objects that demonstrates Tonsillitis, which is a sickness that causes redness of the throat and soreness.

The color yellow represents the healing process of all the symptoms associated with having Tonsillitis.

The red in this image represents the pain and redness of my throat whereas the color green represents the buildup of mucus and nasal congestion.

“Skateboard 2” Details


“Pills and Brain 5”

“Pills and Brain 5” contains a series of drawings fused together with the use of photoshop.

The technique that was used is called Scanography in which the three separate drawings were scanned into the computer and put together with the use of Photoshop.

This series of drawings was created to show the different parts of the brain that causes forgetfulness, memory loss, and attention problems. These symptoms are consistent with individuals, like myself, who have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

The blue images in the back are a series of pills that are taken to help me pay attention to what is being taught in classes. The words in the image are notes that I have had to write down to help me remember what needs to be done or what events are coming up so I do not forget them.

I experimented with the tools of Corel Painter and the use of the Wacom Tablet.

“The Flow 2”I used Gaston to create the 3-dimensional images and Photoshop was used to put them together and to add a background. I experimented with lens flares, color, and layering.
