With an ambitious and detail oriented outlook on life it is hard to overlook the influence it has had on her work. Graduating from Flagler College is only the beginning for Tess. With the basics of design in her back pocket, she looks forward to learning and growing as a designer. When Tess is not designing, she enjoys time with friends, reading an interesting book, and going for a drive.

STRINGIES
Packaging || Branding
Stringies is a fictional and all-natural candy brand. Bridging the gap between Twizlers and craft bracelets, this product makes it possible to finally do what you’ve always wanted to do: Make bracelets out of candy! With a target market for all ages, this was a fun but challenging project. Packaging for all-natural and sugar-free products are getting more creative, but lack the shelf presence to attract the masses. Each box comes with a window to view the product and tear-off instructions to eliminate extraneous packaging. The slim packaging makes them easily portable so you can bring the fun to your friends!

App Design || Illustration
Kodak’s Hidden Adventures is an iPad application designed around kinesthetic, verbal, and auditory learning. As the child progresses through each level they will be challenged by new developmental learning tools in the form of adventure and games. This application strays from the overused Dora and Disney franchise and provides a fresh burst of fun reality that those other programs lack. The simple illustrations and colors are a perfect fit for kindergarten level children.

Poster Design || Typography Study
Drawing inspiration from Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and using the typeface Egyptienne, the 27th letter was created. This poster is used as a promotional item and reflects the Ancient Egyptian influences with the use of papyrus paper texture to represent a simple call to action: Hashtag this. You might have questioned the point of interest, the scarab. It is a representation of Khepri, an Egyptian god who was depicted with a scarab head. He was specified as the god of coming into being. Designed to inspire inquisitive minds, this poster embodies a cryptic but effective poster design.

Inspired by Japanese cupcake vending machines, Sprinkles Cupcakes is creating their own flavored cupcakes to put in their own vending machine outside their store. Customers can receive fresh cupcakes daily. Each flavor has their own character that has pop-out features and a handle to make them fun, adorable, and travel friendly!

Cantus is an application specially designed for the iPhone that lets users tune, record, and replay their own tunes they have recorded through this app. The user is able to tune and record any stringed instrument. With three different layout styles to choose from, this app is ready for any style of musician.

Rebrand || Tour Book
Financial advisor extraordinaire rebrand and tour notebook. After being inspired by foreign currency, the design around Suze’s name pronounces her goals and beliefs. The typeface helps push her strengths as not only a strong person but also a woman in a strongly populated male job field. This notebook includes steps, tips, and additional pages to write notes on during each lectured show.

Illustration || Ad Campaign
TeaForte’s Minteas ad campaign is designed around the connection of a lovers’ first kiss and the specialty of its beauty. Minteas offer a special uniqueness in every mint just like there is in every first kiss. The connection between the boy and the girl is the most important aspect in the illustration. Creating a story with the separated frames keeps the story individualized and pinpoints the key factors of the story being translated in the imagery.

Flagler College’s graphic design department was in need of posters and mailers for the B.A. portfolio critique. After much collaboration the theme of Goat Rodeo was established, all agreeing upon how portfolio is indeed a goat rodeo. Goat rodeo itself is a World War II term that stands for everything must be a success for the mission to be completed. The goat was branded with a WWII pilot’s cap and placed onto the mailers, posters, and stickers. [This project was a collaboration.]

Cover Redesign || Typography || Photo Manipulation
The Books of Pellinor is series translated from written scrolls found in Moroccan caverns. Each image portrays a key factor in that particular novel. The eyes were an important part to symbolize because the series speaks of three different living beings: humans, Bards, and Elidhu, one of the immortal Elemental beings who inhabit Edil-Amarandh. A Morroccon inspired pattern is used to help remember where these books were first seen. The hand-painted type is important factor because there was not modern day technology.
