Introduction to Spectrecom Spectrecom Studios is a full-service film and TV studio complex located in the heart of London. We have three stages, totalling over 4,500ft², as well as excellent support facilities. These include green rooms, a food prep kitchen and VO booth.We can provide pre-lit studio packages, set-builds, live streaming, equipment hire and a full in-house production service including directors, camera operators and editors. The studios have previously been home to such well-loved shows as ‘Richard & Judy’ and ‘Saturday Kitchen’. And since our arrival in late 2014, we’ve hosted BBC’s ‘Food & Drink’, ITV2’s ‘The Keith Lemon Sketch Show’ and numerous other Pilots, Promos and Commercials.

We’re a friendly creative team, dedicated to giving our clients the most productive and convenient shooting experience possible. With gaffers, lighting technicians, a large lighting store and a fully stocked kit room onsite, we can offer everything you need to ensure your shoot runs smoothly and efficiently.

At 3,500 sq ft, Studio 1 is our largest space, perfect for TV audiences and pre-recorded television programmes.This studio has already played host to BBC’s ‘Food and Drink’ and ITV2’s ‘The Keith Lemon Sketch Show’, both of which required full set-builds and long-term residency, which we were more than happy to accommodate.

Studio 2 is a sound-treated white screen studio measuring 800ft².This infinity cove studio can be transformed into a green screen studio either by drape, colourama or chroma key paint.It is ideal for interviews, music promos and small set builds. Guests include: ITV’s ‘Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera’, Ellie Goulding, Nero, ITV Sport’s Rugby World Cup Promo and many more.

Studio 3 is a 300 ft² green screen chroma key film studio with a ‘U’ shaped cyc wall and is ideal for smaller green screen talking head, pack shot shoots, idents, TV promos and commercials.All 3 of our central London studios have lighting technicians and additional technical crew on hand for all your needs during your video production, as well as hospitality staff to assist throughout.

Hiring your camera or film kit from Spectrecom Studios can save you time and money.Your kit will be prepared by one of our in-house technicians and will be ready and waiting for you when you arrive for your shoot. You can even ask us to have your camera(s) tripod mounted with monitors & mics all connected, set up and ready to go.

It all means that you can make the most of your time in the studio, with your crew, actually working on your shoot rather than preparing for it.We own most of the kit you’d need and it lives at the studios. However, to provide a complete service we can hire in any additional equipment you might need at competitive rates.

One of the things that sets us apart from other filming spaces is the fact that we are able to offer a unique combination of filming studios and production facilities. Our in-house production company, Spectrecom Films, comprises over 50 staff; including producers, directors, editors, scriptwriters and marketers. The team produces award-winning short films, TV adverts and branded video content for some of the world’s leading brands and digital agencies.

We’re one of the only companies in London that provides both production services and studio facilities. In fact, everything you need to make the perfect film – all under one roof.

Additional ServicesOur studios have seen TV production companies and some of the main UK broadcasters producing entire series here.The largest studio allows for complex set-builds and audience seating with recent series including the BBC’s Beat the Brain, Saturday Kitchen and Food

and Drink.

Meanwhile, the smallest studios have been used for VT inserts and sketch shows with the Keith

Lemon Sketch Show and the X Factor being regular fixtures.

When you hire a studio with us, you will have access to a selection of support rooms, dressing rooms, kitchens and bathroom facilities, including en suite toilets and shower rooms.

Our kitchen facilities are perfect for both everyday use and professional food preparation – as demonstrated by BBCs ‘Food and Drink’, which brought in some of the country’s leading culinary masterminds (including Tom Kerridge and The Hairy Bikers) to christen our chef’s kitchen last year.

Our highly experienced and friendly studio team is here to look after you and to help take away the stress and strain of even the most challenging of shoots.

They oversee all of the studio facilities and will ensure that everything, whether setting up technical equipment or preparing the hospitality, is exactly as you want it when you arrive. And once your shoot is underway, our team will be nearby and on hand able to assist with those inevitable last minute hitches. Whether equipment fails, the costume’s wrong or couriers let you down, we love to help where we can.

Studio MapThe layout of the studio complex was specifically designed so that the main corridor runs right through the middle of the building. It means that the studios, green rooms and make up rooms are all conveniently nearby and on the same floor. Another bonus is the huge outside doors to Studio 1 which are accessed right at the back of our car park. This allows us to easily accommodate some very large deliveries well away from the road – quite a plus for central London.
