Sorting subjectivity thanks to artificial intelligence

One of the strengths of the software is the sorting severity setting. The principle relies on artificial intel-ligence to assess the quality, shape, and appearance of each carrot.

This is the only system that rep-licates human judgement whilst adding consistency.

Combined with other measurable criteria (green collar area, white tip length, stem length), this setting al-lows the stable fine-tuning of the sorting severity. This way, you can easily select 3 quality levels in addi-tion to the waste.

The ejection module ejects up to 15 carrots per sec-ond without ever damaging them!

Sortop’s accuracy, combined with machine consistency, allows for the selection of a higher number of first qual-ity carrots, which can be sold at their fair price.

The system has a dosing lift and a surge hopper for ideal carrot distribution.

360 degrees

Thanks to the mirror system and powerful circular lighting, each carrot undergoes a thorough 360° analysis at a rate up to 15 carrots per second! This is the only reliable way to detect any defect, as well as to grade and weigh the carrots with great precision, down to half a millimetre and to the nearest gram.

Compressed air ejection

A nozzle system blows the carrots towards the vari-ous outlets allocated with great precision. The car-rots fall on soft materials, which ensure a smooth landing.

User friendly interface

The monitor shows the images of the carrots during produc-tion in order to control the sorting quality.

This sturdy machine has been designed to accept any type of carrots (even crooked and forked ones) with a diameter ranging between 10 and 60 mm and a length ranging between 25 and 400 mm.

Our carrot sorter can sort and grade any batch of carrots with amazing efficiency. No need for contin-uous configurations or additional manual sorting. Moreover, it has a very useful traceability function.
