SocialmediaarealsoexamplesofWeb2.0.Likesocialmedia,Web2.0appsallhavesomesortof interactioncapabilitybetweenparticipants. Why is Web 2.0 important to me as a math teacher? Forthesimplereasonthatitsimportanttoyourstudents.Sincemostofthemadapttoitveryreadily,and liketointeractwiththeirfriendsthisway,manyteachersareseeingagreatdealofsuccessbyusingthese meansofcommunicatingwiththeirstudents. Facebook is not very good for communicating math... buttherearestillsomeverygoodwaysamathteachercanuseit.OneofthebestwaystouseFacebook foryourclassistostartaFacebookgroupforyourclass.Studentsintheclasscanjointhegroupand writeonthewallonthegroupspage.Youareautomaticallyanadminwhenyoucreatethegroup,but youcanappointothersasadmins,andcanevenrotatethisdutyamongtheclasswheneveryouwantto switchadmins.YOUhavetotalcontroloverwhojoinsthegroupandwhattheycanposttothegroupswall.
