– Our live videos have 1000s more views than other posts.

■ Scheduling Posts

– Multiple. Set reminder posts.

■ Uploading video directly v. posting a YouTube link

– Better traffic, safer, etc.

■ Video Slideshows

– Click upload slideshow. Choose 5-7 pictures.

■ Push positivity!

– Positivity goes a LONG way on Facebook.

■ Mention those who are there, or would want to know.

– They will retweet or like, which expands your reach.

■ Pin tweets to your profile.

– First thing everyone sees when they visit your profile.

■ Twitter lists are GREAT for professional development.

– Make a private list of accounts that inspire you or share relevant

articles. More on this later.

■ Twitter polls let you know their opinion!

– Want feedback? It’s all anonymous, so more likely to connect.

Instagram■ Videos! Videos! Videos!

– Regular, time lapse, slow-mo. What can your camera do?

■ From Instagram, you can post to Facebook/Twitter.

– Connect your account to the other accounts. Contact Erin to set this up.

■ Utilize Instagram stories!

– Real-time, what is happening right now? Deletes after 24 hours like

Snapchat.

■ Don’t only post about your class, school, etc.

– Post photos of your personal family, or what you did over the weekend!

– Not for everyone, but it makes your Instagram more personal and

relatable…

How do I get more followers?(Preaching to the choir.)

■ Post consistently. Stick with it.

■ Use hashtags. | #iteach3rdgrade | #STEM | #k12 | #edchat | #lrnchat

– Explore them. Respond to those who use it with favorites/retweets.

■ Make it known.

– Parent-teacher conferences, open house, any face-to-face contact.

– Emails, newsletters, email signatures, website, flyers, posters, etc.

– How can you celebrate your teachers who are active on social media?

■ Encourage others to like/share your posts.

– If they like your posts, it will show up in “suggested” posts on

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
