    The Shoreham-Wading River Central School District Board of Education is the authorized agency responsible for settingeducational policy in the District. It consists of seven members who each serve three-year terms and receive no salary orother financial compensation.

    The meetings, except for Executive Sessions, are held before the public. The Board of Education may convene toExecutive Session immediately after opening the meeting. At the end of the Executive Session, the Board of Educationwill re-convene to the Regular Meeting.

    Arrival and departure times of the Board of Education members shall be noted in the minutes and within the order ofevents.

    A maximum of half hour will be allocated for agenda items Statements of Residents with a three minute limit perindividual. Each speaker must be a resident of the District. Residents wishing to make comments or raise questions shallstate their name and address. Public discussion is prohibited on matters relating to staff and students at which theirreputation, privacy, or rights to due process or the rights of others to due process, could be in some way violated.

    Residents will be permitted to participate in Board of Education discussion and agenda item Discussion, however Boardof Education members will speak first. Each resident will be limited to one input with a two minute maximum. A time limitfor residents discussion will be no more than 10 minutes unless a majority of the Board wants to extend the time due tothe nature of the topic. Residents will address the Board and not each other during this discussion.

    Each Board Member voting on a motion shall be permitted to state the reason for doing so and the statement shall benoted in the minutes.

    The public, in its comments, will refrain from making any direct references to student or staff members. Such referencesto individual students or staff members are inappropriate in a public forum and should instead be conducted in privateconversation with an appropriate member of the staff.

    #1314-125 SWRTA Memorandum of Agreement for Retirement Incent ive for the 2013-2014 School Year:RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District hereby ratifiesthe attached Memorandum of Agreement dated December 20, 2013, between the District and Shoreham-WadingRiver Teachers Association (SWRTA) regarding the Retirement Incentive for the 2013-2014 school year.

    #1314-126 SWRTA Memorandum of Agreement for Professional Development Days for the 2014-2015 School Year:RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District hereby ratifiesthe attached Memorandum of Agreement dated December 20, 2013, between the District and Shoreham-WadingRiver Teachers Association (SWRTA) regarding Professional Development Days for the 2014-2015 school year.

    #1314-127 UNITE International, LLC Cont ract:RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District herebyapproves a contract between the District and UNITE International, LLC to provide a DWI / DUI Presentation andSimulation for High School seniors on May 27, 2014 at a cost of $2,540.00. The President of the Board isauthorized to sign this contract and thereby signify the Boards acceptance to the agreement.

    #1314-128 Riverhead CSD Health Services Contract: WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District has been dulyempowered by the provision of Section 912 of the Education Law to enter into a contract for the purpose ofproviding health and welfare services for children residing in the District and attending non-public schools in theRiverhead Central School District; and

    WHEREAS, these services are provided during the school year of 2013-2014 and the contract ends on June 30,2014 unless terminated earlier in accordance with terms set forth within the Agreement; and

    WHEREAS, at the rate of $720.79 per student, the total cost of this Agreement is $13,749.79 for twenty (20)SWR student(s); therefore

    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Shoreham Wading River Central School District herebyapproves the Health and Welfare Services Agreement between the District and Riverhead Central School Districtfor the 2013-2014 school year. The Superintendent of Schools and President of the Board of Education areauthorized to execute said contract and thereby signify the Boards acceptance to the contract.

    #1314-129 Syosset CSD Health Services Contract: WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District has been dulyempowered by the provision of Section 912 of the Education Law to enter into a contract for the purpose ofproviding health and welfare services for children residing in the District and attending non-public schools in theSyosset Central School District; and

    WHEREAS, these services are provided during the school year of 2013-2014 and the contract ends on June 30,2014 unless terminated earlier in accordance with terms set forth within the Agreement; and

    WHEREAS, at the rate of $936.74 per student, the total cost of this Agreement is $1,873.48 for two (2) SWRstudent(s); therefore

    BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Shoreham Wading River Central School District herebyapproves the Health and Welfare Services Agreement between the District and Syosset Central School Districtfor the 2013-2014 school year. The Superintendent of Schools and President of the Board of Education areauthorized to execute said contract and thereby signify the Boards acceptance to the contract.
