THE DANIEL PLAN is a groundbreaking healthy lifestyle program founded on bibli-cal principles and focused on The Essentials: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends. The program offers an innovative approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle in which people get better together by optimizing their health in each of these life areas. Each essential supports and influences the others, offering a practical step-by-step ap-proach for anyone to follow. This is based on a six-week series from Rick Warren, Dr. Daniel Amen and Dr. Mark Hyman. It is an innovative approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle that is both transfor-mational and sustainable because it is about abundant choices, not diet deprivation. If you are interested in this life changing study, please join us for an informa-tional meeting on Sept. 8th in the church parlor at 7pm. MERCY MEAL for all who lost a close relative since July 2014…..As mentioned a few Sundays ago, I asked if interested people who wish to plan a “Mercy Meal” with me would call, text, or email me. Thank you to those of you who have expressed your will-ingness to participate. We are projecting a date of November 1 (All Saints Sunday) for our First Annual Mercy Meal at 6:00pm (venue TBC). In addition to other caring re-sponses by the congregation and staff in times of bereavement, the aim of this meal is to express additional care by serving a great meal and sharing some inspiring insights about God’s love that help to carry us through such times. A meeting with me to plan this event will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 6:30pm in the Yokefellow classroom (2nd floor east wing). Please feel free to attend to be a listener and/or to participate in planning. All are welcome.

This is care in addition to the care the pastor gives. If you are interested in having a Stephen Minister, fill out one of the slips in the pew rack and put it in the offering plate or hand it to the minister or one of the Stephen Leaders or Tom Lee.
