Noisy Offering Today is our first of two annual noisy offering collections that will take place at all three services. The second collection is in the fall for Impact Weekend. We are in great need of materials for our local adult mission trip this summer. Your contributions will assist us so we can be instruments of hope for those in despair due to the circumstances of their lives. With your financial help people of all ages will learn that by reaching out to their sisters and brothers in need, they will not only change their lives, but also will powerfully effect the lives of those they serve. We are blessed to be a blessing! Staff Contact: Carl Bloom (We will continue to take offerings through April 24)

2016 Calvary Adult Mission Trip

Over the next several weeks, we will ask you to join us in prayer for some very important aspects of our upcoming adult mission trip in June

This week, please pray and ask God if this Adult Mission Trip is something you can support financially. We need your financial support to raise funds to cover the costs of the supplies and expenses to make an impact in the lives of those in need in our Detroit community. Your support – prayerful or financial – is a life changing investment - for both the Detroit community and for our team!

O Lord, giver of life and source of freedom, I know that all I have received is from your hand. Gracious and loving God, You call us to be stewards of your abundance, the caretakers of all you have entrusted to us. Help us to always use Your gifts wisely and teach us to share them generously. Send the Holy Spirit to work through us, bringing your message to those we serve, especially to those in need in our Detroit Community. May our faithful financial support to this Adult mission trip bear witness to the love of Jesus Christ. We pray with grateful hearts, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Staff Contact: Carl Bloom

Engage Engage

IF: Gathering Women's Event IF:Calvary is a local gathering of women for a two day digital viewing of IF:Gathering that took place in Austin, TX in February. Speakers will focus on who Jesus is and how we can better live like him. We're excited to come together and be reminded that our world is chaotic and heartbreaking, but Jesus lives among all of this and we can look to Him for a sure, steady, strong Hope. We are real women coming together to experience God in a different way. If God is real, what does that mean for ourselves, our families and our community?

You’re invited to join us Friday, May 6, 6pm-9:30pm and Saturday, May 7, 9am-noon. For registration contact Annie Van Goor [email protected]

New Sermon Series

Called by God: The Life and Message of the Apostle Paul

(inspired by "The Call" by Pr. Adam Hamilton)

What would transform the life of a first-century rabbi intent on crushing the early Christian movement, to instead travel for thousands of miles by land and sea, to be beaten, imprisoned and ultimately beheaded for his faith? Thirteen of the New Testament’s 27 books are attributed to him. He started churches across the Roman Empire. HIs life story fills more than half of the Acts of the Apostles. He translated the gospel into the language and culture of the Greco-Roman world. His words have profoundly influenced more than one-third of the world’s population, and he is perhaps second only to Jesus in shaping what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ .As together we explore the ministry, life and times of the Apostle Paul our aim is not simply to know about this first-century apostle, but to understand how his life and faith continues to call us and shape our faith today.
