Private Officer International is a world-wide organiza- tion (privateofficer.com) whose purpose is to profes- sionalize the industry. In 2006 they joined forces with The National Association of Private Officers to build a foundation for entry level, front line private security of- ficers. Early in 2013 Orlando Branch Manager, Paul Hem- mert, was nominated by then Account Manager, Don- nie Cantwell for recognition as Boss of the Year. Donnie wrote “Paul Hemmert left a very successful career to de- vote himself to helping us strive to improve the security business into a more respectable business than ever. He started near the bottom as a Field Supervisor, worked overnights and began in the trenches sharing his wealth of leadership skills with our officers. He instills confi- dence in us and inspires us to exceed expectations de- livering superior service to our clients. He reminds us continually that we are here to serve our officers with the support they need to keep bodies and property safe.” At the 9th Annual Awards Ceremony, Paul received the Directors Award from Private Officer International in appreciation and recognition for his continued dedica- tion and professionalism in the support of the private security industry. Theresa August, Mobile Officer ofthe Month

TThheerreessaa AAuugguusstt,, MMoobbiillee,, AALLOfficer Theresa August was awarded Officer of the Month for the Mobile Branchfor superior performance on several occasions.On July 28 while doing an exterior patrol of the shopping center, she surprised asuspect who forced entry into a vehicle, when the suspect saw her, he jumped outof the vehicle and ran into a residential neighborhood. Although he broke intothe vehicle, there was no damage or property stolen.In a separate incident on August 4, she came across two individuals that were at-tempting to steal riding lawn mowers from a department store of the shoppingcenter. She approached while they had one already loaded into the back of theirtruck and drove off, they lost the mower as they drove off. She immediately con-tacted local police, who caught them several blocks away.Great job Officer August, we are proud to have you on our team!

She noticed a womanstruggling in the deep end of the pool, she quickly went into action andtried to reach the woman with the safety hook. As the woman screamed forhelp, Officer Alvarado entered the pool and reached her to pull her tosafety.The Community Clubhouse Manager was very proud of her efforts.Thank you Officer Alvarado for being a hero once again!
