Newest Community Members: Congratulations to Tracy Deremer, Sophia Lapointe, Hailey Stuhlmiller, Taylor Stuhlmiller, Becki Campbell, Brendan Herman and David Scolastico – who were received fully into the Catholic Church on Sunday, September 13th. We receive you into our community with support and love. We look forward to getting to know you as we worship with you! Thank you Fr Marc for a beautiful Mass of Reception for the Elect!

VOTING RESOURCES from the Diocese General Election – November 3, 2020 Policy on Distribution of Campaign Materials During this election season, a reminder that our parish will be utilizing only materials that come from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops or the Diocese of Manchester. Distribution of other election-related materials on church property will not be permitted. Other activities, including posting flyers or signs, passing out campaign literature, and leaving unauthorized materials anywhere in the building or on car windshields, are prohibited.

We’re Sprucing Up! Can YOU help??? All of the exterior doors at St. Joseph Church have been refinished and re-stored. The time, effort and materials were all donated by several parishioners! The crafts-manship alone would have been very expensive if we did not have people willing to share their gifts and talents. We are very grateful for the dedication

and generosity of all our volunteers. We are still in need of many more helpers. If you have an hour or two to give, or a talent or particular skill to share, we would appreciate your help. Please call the office (603-893-8661 x101) or email us at [email protected]. if you can help.

Fall Anniversary Livestream Event Masses with the Bishop to mark significant wedding anniversaries of the faithful of the Diocese of Manchester have occurred for nearly 40 years. These important celebrations remind us all of the beauty and dignity of marriage in Christ. While it is fitting that such celebrations look differently during these unprecedented times, invoking God’s blessing on those who continue to offer Christian witness by their marital union continues nonetheless! Bishop Libasci invites couples celebrating 5, 25, and 50 year anniversaries to watch and unite their prayers with the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass via livestream on Sunday, October 18th at 2 pm. In addition to the worship aid and a special novena for marriage, couples will receive an invitation to a post-Mass virtual gathering where they will have an opportunity to speak with other couples celebrating significant wedding anniversaries. Please register in order to receive instruc-tions on how to tune-in to the Livestream Mass and an invitation to a post -Mass virtual gathering where you will have an opportunity to speak with other couples celebrating significant wedding anniversaries. When registering, please enter the husband's name first. Any questions may be directed to [email protected]. To register for the virtual celebration, please go to to fallanniversary2020.eventbrite.com...

We want to THANK Christopher & Nicole (Routhier) Pelonzi and Pat Kulesz for their VERY generous donation of a Grand Piano!! The piano is in the music section at Mary Queen of Peace Church. Last weekend was the first time it was played at Mass and I understand the sound was heavenly!! On behalf of the entire parish, THANK YOU to each of you!! May God reward you for your thoughtfulness and generosity!

“The common good requires everyone’s participation. If everyone contributes his or her part, and if no one is left out, we can regenerate good relationships on the communitarian, national and international level and even in harmony with the environ-ment.” Follow Pope Francis on Twitter @Pontifex

Vocation Awareness: “Seek the Lord while He may be found….” While seeking Him in prayer and sacraments, listen to Him. Could it be you are being called by Jesus to serve as a priest, religious, sister or brother? If you think He may be offering you this grace, call Father Matthew Mason 663-0132, or write: [email protected].

What’s hidden behind there? Years ago, my husband Jerry built this beautiful entertainment wall which encased media equipment, CDs, DVDs, etc. Behind the wall was a closed-up fireplace and mantel with junk we weren’t ready to toss. I said to Jerry, “I was think-ing…” (Oh, oh! That means work!) “What if we tore down that wall and fixed up the space behind it and put the antique stove the kids got you there?” Jerry resisted, “But I created that wall! That was a lot of work!” Yes it was beautiful, espe-cially for someone who prefers working on old cars and hates working with wood! But to my surprise, Jerry went with it! The wall was demolished, the space was fixed up, his stove went in, and now we have this most amazing space in our room! It’s been totally transformed! Now we have this warm, homey, relaxing space that brings us together more! Are we not like that? Have we not built up careers, attitudes, beliefs, habits, life-styles, etc. that are really no longer useful to who God calls us to be? Maybe they served a purpose once, but now we’re called to discover something more purpose-filled and life-giving. How are we being asked to dismantle what we built, often with a lot of energy, time and hard work? What might we discover if we demolish it? Behind it is something more purpose-filled and life-giving!!! Take some time each day and sit quietly and ask God, “What would you have me dismantle?” then carefully listen, waiting for God to answer. Naturally you’ll resist, but be like Jerry, go with it and dis-cover the life and warmth that’s been hidden!!! Sue Levesque

Meals for Fr. Marc Our parish does not have a cook to prepare meals for Father Marc. As a way to support him and welcome him to our community we are asking parishioners to help out by sharing a meal with Father. If you want to participate we have reinstated the website previously used for meals for the priests. You can pick a date that is convenient for you, view what others are bringing, and enter your meal selection. On your computer go to: www.takethemameal.com at the FIND column, enter Montminy with password 3407. You will then be able to choose a date and access additional information. If you have any questions please contact Kristen Klecan: klecan@ me.com, 401-7924 or Shawn McDonough at [email protected]., 401-1742.

RCIA Inquiry Session Scheduled Do You Know Someone Curious About the Catholic Faith? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA, is a great way to have questions answered about the Catholic Faith, while learning about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. We will begin with an inquiry session on September 20th after the 9:30 Mass in the Emmaus room in Mary Queen of Peace. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what happens at RCIA.

In May 2015 Pope Francis issued, Laudato Si, On Care for Our Common Home, and declared September

1 World Day of Prayer for Creation. September 1 – October 4 is the Season of Creation and dedicated

to care for all creation. The bulletin insert highlights the themes of the encyclical and

offers suggestions for our individual response plus a prayer for the restoration of our natural resources,

care for the poor and the common good.

Youth Center Update! Hi everyone! We’re moving right along here at the youth center! Our youth room is looking great! The black accent wall came out better than I expected, and with a couple of finishing touches, this room will be 100% done. The room that you first walk into is getting there too! The ceiling tiles will be going in this week and we’ll be one step closer to opening up!

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS! Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2:00pm at Mary Queen of Peace Grounds. Many churches in the United States celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi on October 4 each year. The feast commemorates the life of St Francis, who was born in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment. Father Marc will bless all the pets brought to MQP that afternoon.

Walking with Purpose (WWP) is a Bible Study

for women who are stretched thin and would like a way to refuel and be refreshed. It is for women who would like to have a better understanding of their faith and learn more about living a life with joy according to

the scriptures. Walking with Purpose is for

women who have A LOT of Bible experience and for those with NO Bible experience!! It is a 22 week study beginning September 29, that incorporates home study and small groups. Due to Covid-19, we will be meeting in small and large Zoom Groups from 7pm – 8:15 pm on Tuesday evenings. For more information, go to www.wwpsalemnh.weebly.com.

To help people pray from home, or use the booklet during Mass, MAGNIFICAT is offering special $5.00 subscriptions to enable the faithful to follow the liturgy with personal copies of either a printed or digital edition of Magnificat. Go to Magnificat.com to order either version—3 month trial for print with digital included.

Contact Tracing due to COVID 19 The Diocese has cautioned us to be wary of Contact Tracing telephone calls. The identity of an infected person is subject to all medical confidentiality protections so contacts are only told when and where they were exposed to the disease. They are NOT asked to provide personal information. If you are contacted, and you were at the location and possibly exposed to the disease, you should self-quarantine for 14 days or until symptoms appear. Then, contact your primary care provider for further instructions.

The Knights of Columbus has partnered with the Diocesan Cath-olic Schools Office in an effort to strengthen Catholic education all over New Hampshire. As such, we are thrilled to launch the Art for Education Fundraiser featuring an 11”X14” quality print of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and Pro-tectress of the Unborn. The original is an oil on canvas, painted by NH resident Alison Mueller, exclusively made for the Art for Education Fundraiser. Funds raised will support Catholic schools in the Diocese of Manchester as part of our growing partnership. Ordering Details: The cost is $30 per print plus $5 for shipping. https://form.jotform.com/RCBM/artforeducation The fundraiser runs from May 1st through October 15th. Prints will be shipped on or around the 15th of each month.

The Food Pantry shelves are almost empty. Thank you for always being so generous! With the cooler weather and children returning to school, we could use all kinds of canned goods, individual snacks, coffee/tea/juices, pancake mix and syrup, spaghetti & sauce, paper products and toiletries.
