  1. 1. Does your school have a plan for when or if there is a fire? Well, our school does! Each floor in our school has a fire escape plan.We even had firefighters come in one day to teach us what to doif an entrance is blocked. Some people might think, Whats thepoint? The point is to keep us safe and orderly so the teacherscan account for our whereabouts. So if your school doesnt havea plan, talk to your teacher or principal about making one.
  2. 2. Our school often practices severe weather drills to ensure our studentssafety during a crisis. For every drill there is a designated area for the students to go.We teach our students to stay calm during drills. We make sure all students are accounted for. Every student knows how to shield themselves from things in everysituation. Even though it is very uncommon, we make sure our students areaware of what can happen with every type of storm.
  3. 3. Our students are always on their best behavior. They know to be quietand not to run in the hallways, for their protection and for the protection ofother students! What if I get hurt? What if I hurt someone else? These are all questionswe try to make our students think about before acting out in ways that canhurt others.
  4. 4. To promote healthy snacks we, here at SJRS, provide only the best quality snacksfor the students. We sell low carb popcorn, water and juice, unlike other schools, which sell soda and salty chips in vending machines! The cafeteria is always clean and sanitary! Our school likes to take pride in the waywe serve our children and provide them a clean atmosphere.
  5. 5. Here at SJRS we take caution when dealing with vehiclesafety while crossing the street. We wouldnt want any of ourstudents to get injured when outside! So below we have a videoof our students crossing the street with the help of our 7th and8th grade crossing guards.
  6. 6. We, here at SJRS, have a ZERO-TOLERANCE bullyingpolicy. We try to make our students aware of consequences ofbullying others and how serious it truly is! Below we have avideo of what bullying is like in all age groups! Enjoy!
