It is collaboration between the program faculty, district cooperating administrators, and the intern

A seminar accompanies the internship

NYSED says…Students in registered collegiate programs leading to

certification as a, School Building Leader (SBL), School District Leader (SDL) or School District Business Leader (SDBL), are required to complete a 15-week full-time internship working as an education leader.

However, institutions are able to offer equivalent alternatives to the full-time internship, such as summer school, after-hour assignments, or assignments completed during part of the school day, when these assignments are comparable to the 15-week full-time internship.

Admission RequirementsPermanent or Professional NYS Teaching CertificateThree years teaching experienceMaster’s degree and 3.0 GPA Two letters of Reference – 1 from building principal,

one from district superintendent, or other appropriate supervisor
