THE SAINT MARY’S ROSARY ALTAR SOCIETY would like to THANK everyone who attended and who made donations to the 40th Annual Christmas by Candlelight Dinner. A great time was had by all and because of your generosity we raised $1008.00. This will be equally split and sent to Coopersville Cares, Kids Food Basket and Help Pregnancy Cri-sis Center! Congratulations to Paula Sund who was the Grand Prize Winner of the Quilt! Special Thanks to flutist, Jill Brown for entertaining us, Fr. Anton for his blessings, and to all of the volunteers for your hard work. We are looking for additional volunteers next year. Installation Mass for our New Pastor, Fr. Anton

St. Michael’s Capital Cam-paign for our Building Fund Thank you to everyone who al-ready made a donation or pledge.

We have received $112,440.00 in pledges so far. Our goal is to raise $250,000. Pledges can be paid over two years for our upcoming renovations. NOTE: The Monthly Orange Bldg Fund Envelopes also go into this campaign.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word This program is of-

fered during the 11:15 Mass for children ages 3-7 years. This third Sunday of Advent is also called Gaudete Sunday which means “rejoice”.

Elementary Faith Formation The elementary pro-

gram is for students in grades 1-5. We meet on Wednesday from 6:00- 7:30 pm. Contact Debbie with questions (616)384-4026. As we enter into the third week of Advent, we light two violet candles and the one rose candle on the advent wreath.

Christmas Eve Children’s Choir We need your voices to help celebrate the Christmas Eve Mass. It is time to start preparing and practi- cing for the Mass to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 4:00 p.m. The children will be the “musicians” for the Mass. We will be holding one more practice: Sat. Dec 20 at 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the church.

MITTEN TREE— It will be on display now through December 21st. Donations will go to the Help Pregnancy Center in Grand Rapids, Muskegon Pregnancy Services and Coopersville Cares.

Midnight Mass Adult Choir Practice will be on

The church will be decorated for the Christmas

season, next Sunday, Dec. 21st at 12:45 pm. If you will be able to help out by donating an hour or two of your time, it would be greatly appreciated.

Christmas Flower Memorial Envelopes are

available in your pews. The names of your loved ones will be listed in the Sunday Bulletin after Christmas. The funds re-ceived will help offset the cost of the Poinsettias purchased to beautifully decorate our sanctuary. Donations and names are due no later than: Sunday, December 21.

There are poinsettia plants in the hallway for the

homebound of the parish. Please check to see if there is a plant for a relative, friend or neighbor that you could deliv-er a little Christmas cheer to.

For 2014 charitable deductions and tax credits, the IRS has ruled that charitable gifts are deductible only in the year the organization received the donation. To be con-sidered a charitable donation for 2014, gifts may be dropped off at the parish office no later than Wednesday, December 31. Mailed contributions must have a Dec. 31, 2014 postmark.
