Qantas airlines club and business lounges (located widely through Australia and Asia as well as locations in Europe) were designed with luxurious finishes complete with dining and bar areas, lounges, shower facilities to reflect the brands premium positioning. The lounges are escapism for the traveller and are intended be an aspirational experience. Rollout included domestic Business Lounges (Brisbane, Perth Australia), Sydney Chairmans’ Lounge and Singapore Club Lounge.

Project achievements: Development of Kit-of-parts for increased production time and reduced fit out costs.

The 4800ft (sq) concept store for Luxottica’s Australian brand OPSM is the outcome of extensive customer research. The store design aims to enhance the customer’s experience through integration of technology and heightened service via interactive playback mirrors (connecting to social networking sites), touch screens and simulators. The space includes a product vault for VIP’s, 10 treatment rooms, a lens lab, kids educational area, aged care facility, and a consultation area with a live green wall where an eye spa will be added. Sales exceeded targets in the first month and subsequently the Eyehub concept will be rolled out globally.

Ogilvy House integrates the twelve companies of Singleton Ogilvy Mather (SOM) under one roof, over six levels. An intricately planned flexible layout conducive to the various project team structures focused on connecting spaces. The Ogilvy ‘O’ circle reflects SOM’s values of equality and perfection. The ‘O’ is subtly referenced at various levels, including office wall cutouts, encouraging collaboration between teams, a reception cutout and an internal staircase. Ogilvy House offers a social bar space, breakout areas, pitch rooms, a library and conference room.

Launching into the retail market, the design of the first Blackberry retail stores were commissioned by RIM for the Asia region. Various retail channels and trade shows promote the social aspects of the brand elevating it from a business tool to a lifestyle tool. Kiosks showcase the latest apps and services. Demonstrations of the variety of available accessories and games is elevated through interactive displays and illuminated walls. Footprints vary from 800ft(sq)- 65ft (sq) and store in store layouts.

Jurlique’s new concept stores represent the brands new global retail design strategy and brand positioning as the natural expert. Natural, sustainable materials were combined with metals to represent the fusion of science and nature- the process in which Jurliques products are produced. The contours of the column represent the contours of the Jurlique farm where all ingredients are grown. Various consultation areas integrated into the store through standing areas around the column, large round table with lazy suzan and banquette seating, encourage customers to stay and play and trial prouct.
