These have been really positive events, well attended and the feedback received has been highly encouraging. I want to thank our awesome students who have helped at the event and shown what is best about our school – the relationships between our students and staff. I know this is being sent out on several other platforms, but on Monday we have a staff only day. This is continuing to develop our school-wide thinking around restorative practice. Our Deans are currently working to fill in gaps in subject choices for 2021 so that we can start to develop a timetable that reflects the choices of our students and meets their needed pathways where possible. We will always do our best to meet all student requests and preferred options. PASSING EXAMS ON-LINE LEARNING PROGRAMME Helping Senior Students Improve Their Exam Results In recent years, our school has been working with Patrick Sherratt from Innervate Education to support our senior students with their exam preparation. Patrick presents an interactive and entertaining seminar called Passing Exams, of which the feedback is always very positive. This year, we are offering it to our students as an online package. Passing Exams On-line Learning Programme. The programme is priced at $19. Patrick has prepared the seminar content into ten video units, each with a PDF document download. By accessing this content whenever they want, your student will receive the latest research-based strategies to help them prepare for their exams. Patrick has developed a 5-step “how to study” approach and within these steps, he presents solutions to common challenges they may experience in the lead-up to exams. Amongst the ten units are strategies for: • how to improve motivation, • reduce distractions, • improve memory • and reduce exam nerves. To access the programme, please visit the following link and follow the registration details. https://innervate.co/innervate-online/
