1a) Clinical Practice in Hospital Sg.Buloh:

Year : 2014

Semester: 6

Duration: 8 Weeks

I have been exposed in the ICU/CCU Unit for 4 weeks. Skilled gained are as follows:

- Exposed to the critical cases in the ICU and CCU ward

- Assisting Medical Assistant staff on setting ventilator mode to the patient

- Exposed on doing Echocardiogram

- Exposed on doing the Stress test

- Exposed on doing the Peak flow Meter test

Another remaining 4 weeks, I have been exposed in the Pediatric Clinic. Skilled

gained are as follows:

- Assisting doctor in taking blood sample

- Assisting doctor in taking Urine sample

- Exposed in pediatric cases

1b) Clinical Practice in Hospital Kajang:

Year : 2014

Duration: 8 Weeks

I have been exposed in the Emergency Department II Unit for 6 weeks. I also have

been exposed night shift for 2 weeks starting from 9pm-7am. Skilled gained are as

follows:

- Inserting IV line

- Blood taking

- ECG

- CBD inserting

- Nebulizer giving

- Provide CPR ( Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation )

- Toilet and Suture ( T&S )

- STO ( Suture to Off )

1c) Clinical Practice in Ulu Yam Bharu Clinic

Duration: 6 Weeks

I have been exposed for 6 weeks in the clinic. Our clinical practical starts from 8am-

5pm. Skilled gained are as follows:

- Triaging

- Dressing

- ECG

- STO ( Suture to Off )

- Eye irrigation

- Blood taking

- Apply bandaging

- Toilet and Suture ( T&S )

- Apply splint

- Giving injection

- Giving Nebulizer

I have been exposed in Operation Theater Unit for 6 weeks. Skilled gained are as

- Assisting doctor and staff nurse in the operation theater

Another remaining 4 weeks, I have been exposed in the Psychiatric Unit. Skilled

gained are as follows:

- Giving Modecate injection as doctor prescribed

- Giving Fluanxol injection as doctor prescribed

- Exposed to psychiatric cases

I have been exposed in Emergency Department 1 Unit for 6 weeks. Skilled gained

- Vital sign taking

- Insert IV line

- Applying cervical collar for emergency case

- Giving Nebulizer for asthma case in Asthma Bay

- CBD inserting

- Blood taking in Fever Centre

- ECG

- Eye irrigation procedure

Another remaining 4 weeks, I have been exposed in the ENT Unit. Skilled gained are

as follows:

- Inspection of throat

- Exposed in ear syringing procedure

- Assisting doctor and staff nurse

4. Clinical Practice in Hospital Serdang:

5 weeks exposed in Ophthalmology Unit. Skilled gained are as follows:

- Eye irrigation procedure

- Exposed in using the Fundoscope
