Job assignment required weld inspection for Kern River Gas, associated with the removal of and replacement of 36” O.D. pipe sections to facilitate Hydrostatic testing for DOT special permitting. Inspection activities were carried out at three (3) primary locations along the pipe line between Salt Lake City Utah, and Las Vegas Nevada. Job duties include but not limited to

Verification of excavation site as referenced on project drawings. Witness of visual location of pipe line by Hydro vac. Verification and visual inspection of weld bevel preparation and in-process

welding to include final inspection of finished welds for both testing and production welding in accordance with applicable WPS/API 1104 requirements

Development and testing of welders for in-service welding of split tee stopple fittings in accordance with API 1104 requirements.

Verify and monitor X-Ray contractor daily reports and reader sheets to insure 100% coverage of all welds made daily.
