GORILLA CADBURY ADVERT

This is advert is to advertise Cadbury Chocolate.They have used a popular song, Phil Collins – Feel it in the air. This means that the older and younger generation can relate to the advert. The Gorilla's expressions help you understand how he is feeling as he prepares for the moment and then bursts into life.

I like this advert because it is easily remembered due to using the gorilla and the popular song. They advert has a suttle hint about it being a chocolate advert by having the walls purple behind the gorilla which is the same colour as the chocolate wrapper. The beginning and end say “a glass and a half full” which relates to the chocolate.

I could use this idea in my video to suttley show off the genre of music through the clothing as the video will be relating to the lyrics.

As you can see from theses two indie/alternative rock bands they look causal and not posing compared to, for example, some pop music artists. In most of the photos of the indie/ alternative rock genre they are leaning against something or sat down. In the top image the caravan behind them with the graffiti on shows that they are an indie band as it is old school and different. The bottom picture of Arctic Monkeys shows them leaning against a vintage car, but the leather jacket shows that their music is a bit of rock as well.Images help you understand the music a lot.I will keep this in mind when I take my photos for my digipak.

As I am creating a music video for an Arctic Monkeys song I am going to base the clothing on them. Using skinny jeans and a leather jacket shows that it is an indie rock genre and therefore shows that off throughout the video. I like this clothing as the dark colours show off the rock look but due to the jeans being skinny it shows the indie style.

If I use girls within my music video I would use indie clothing such a dresses or skater skirts and a bomber jacket. This will look good with the indie rock theme.
