The REMOS SmartWall is a fixed and secure firewall per-manently mounted in the electrical cabinet of your DESMA machine. It is designed to connect your machine to your plant network and allow the DESMA USA Customer Care Center access for remote troubleshooting.

The REMOS SmartWall is only available for WiFi or hard wire connection to your local factory network. If you have legacy equipment that you wish to upgrade, REMOS SmartWall is backwards compatible for many Bachmann control systems.

DESMA REMOS SMARTWALL

Whatever REMOS device you chose, you will eventually need a connection package. DESMA’s remote connection packages form the bridge between your machine and our Customer Care Center allowing remote diagnostics to occur.

Another advancement from DESMA is our comprehensive connection device called SmartConnect 4.U. Smart-Connect 4.U incorporates the benefits of REMOS and takes connectively one step further. The advantages of SmartConnect 4.U include higher levels of remote ser-vice interaction and information access. Online documen-tation can be viewed by both parties simultaneously and service assistance can be initiated remotely via the cus-tomer cockpit. Basic SmartPackages for North American customers include the applications such as SmartRemain, SmartPage, SmartTraining, SmartLine and SmartApp.

DESMA REBUILT PRESSES

DESMA machine reconditioning has become a highly sought after alternative to new machinery. This cost effective alternative for larger 968/969 machines helps customers to increase efficiency when new capital pur-chases are not an option.

All reconditioning work is completed at DESMA USA in Hebron, Kentucky. Our domestic facility has dual over-head cranes to allow us to unload, disassemble and rebuild your machine in a proper and efficient manner.

All machines are first completely disassembled. Next,we inspect components, repair or replace worn out or damaged items and rebuild the press to within factory

specifications. A new control system is added along with upgraded position and pressure sensors. Our NAMC equip-ment allows for complete heating platen reconditioning. New hoses, wiring and fittings are incorporated in the re-build process along with new paint and safety components.

Once complete, the machine is fully tested in our facility. Pre-sold machines are further tested with customer tool-ing to customize mold recipes thereby ensuring produc-tion ready status.

Additional accessories like shuttle tables, silicone stuffers or further options may be added upon request.

Today’s production environment offers little time for preventive maintenance. Let DESMA handle the details with customized PM contracts for 968/969 and ALPHA/SIGMA machines. We can economically and properly maintain your presses – saving you valuable production time and money. Our programs are offered annually or biannually working with you around scheduled down time.

With the purchase of a preventive maintenance contract, a customer service representative will be assigned to your order. At your facility, the diagnostics overview will

consist of one full day for a service engineer to inspect your machine and perform the necessary system checks.

As a result of the evaluation, you will be emaileda comprehensive report. Parts deemed necessary to replace will be reviewed with you via phone by ourService Department.

Machine PM service inspections: Begin $750 for basic machines (exclusive of travel related expenses & travel time)

In the event that you would like to extend visit of the technician (more than one day) to perform other service activities, a discounted hourly rate can be extended. Additional travel costs would be billed accordingly.

1. TEE THERMAL OIL UNIT CLEANING AND TESTING PROGRAM

• A $500 base fee provides for unit disassembly, cleaning and bench testing in Hebron, Kentucky

• The customer is notified of the overall condition and recommended actions• Any authorized additional repair work or part replacement is done• All repair work is warranted for 6 months

3. CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADES

• DRC 2020 control retrofits are available for 968 and 969 series DESMA presses

• This retrofit includes a new touch screen operator panel and a completely new pre-wired control cabinet with all required internal electrical components

• Includes new position and pressure sensors for the injection unit and mold carrier. On site bracket fabrication may be required

• Enables you to upgrade to the latest control system architecture
