ECSA News— House of Hope
Go Red!
Your ECSA recently made a donation to the House of Hope in War-
wick.
Homelessness can happen to anyone. All it takes is a catastrophic ill-
ness, a loss of income, or a myriad of other unforeseen events. Today
there are over 4,000 homeless Rhode Islanders, many who you may
recognize as friends, family, or neighbors.
House of Hope Community Development Corporation is a non-profit
organization founded in 1989 in Warwick, Rhode Island, with a mission to prevent and end home-
lessness in the state. We do this in two basic ways: providing affordable housing and by counsel-
ing homeless persons to help them overcome the various causes of their homelessness.
Our philosophy is built on the foundation that everyone deserves housing and has unique poten-
tial to be successful. From that foundation, we are reducing the impact of homelessness on indi-
viduals, families, and the community by working with clients to regain their independence, access
and maintain stable housing, and overcome the crushing experience of homelessness.
