Payroll Pointers - Withholding forms.

When completing federal and state withholding forms, please write clearly and accurately and al-

ways use a black or blue pen. If you make a mistake, do not line out or white out the error - fill out

a new form! Failure to accurately complete any tax form may result in a delay or inaccurate with-

holdings. Direct deposit forms must also be filled out clearly and accurately.

Please note that the information contained on paper tax forms and direct deposit forms may take

two weeks to process - sometimes longer.

Tax withholdings, direct deposit data, and other information is easily accessed and updated when

you use the Employee Self Service option on KNET.

Remember, only active members are entitled to the ECSA benefits



Justin Laverdiere Memorial Golf Tournament

Filling Up Fast, Call Blake Today. The 14th Annual Justin Laverdiere Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 24, 2016, at Chemawa Golf Course in North Attleboro, MA. All proceeds from the event are designat-ed for the Tomorrow Fund. Justin, son of Blake Laverdiere D913, was 14 when he passed away of cancer in 2003. The tournament will be sponsored by the ECSA and has risen over $160,000 to cover expenses for the families of children being treated for cancer over the past 13 years. If you would like to sign up to golf, or make a tax deductible donation, please contact Blake in D913 for more information and registration forms. The tournament fills up quickly and there is often a wait-ing list. Blake can be reached at 2-2566 or 401-218-8259.

How to Use the Job Application System for Electric Boat

Effective 12/6/13, Electric Boat launched a job application system. If you have not applied for an

opening since then, you will need to set up a new profile in the system. To access the system, enter

your badge number preceded by the letter “E” (i.e. E012345). If this is your first time logging on to the

system, click on the “Reset my Password” link. An email will be sent to your gdeb.com email address,

or the email address that you have on file with Personnel Services.

If you do not have a gdeb.com email address and did not provide an email address to Personnel Ser-

vices, call the Employment Office at 401-268-2400 during regular business hours of 7-4.

There are also kiosks available in the Employment Office for access to and assistant with the new job

application system.

The Quonset Nuclear Trade Training (NTT) Coordinator supports Opera�ons Training. Primary re-sponsibili�es include: 1. Coordinate with personnel scheduling Quonset NTT classes. 2. Coordinate reviews and maintain Training Materials up to date: • Assist departments in developing training plans / curriculum. • Ensure master copies of ac�ve lesson plans, examina�on ques�ons and answer keys are main-tained. • Review completed examina�ons to ensure standardized grading, provide feedback to instructors and evaluate ques�ons for update. 4. Monitor the conduct of training compare to actual work performance. 5. Maintain: • Assigned training facili�es • Training and quali ca�on records • Training metrics 6. Review training databases, monitoring forms, student feedback and related reports for accuracy. Ini�ate ac�on to update or correct data. 7. Observe and document work in progress compared to trained work prac�ces 8. Provide support for budget analysis, instructor development, training requests, implementa�on of lessons learned and customer feedback. 9. Support Opera�ons Training. May require periodic travel. Employee must be willing and able to ex their working shi� to support training needs on all shi�s as needed. Limited, periodic travel may be required. The employee may con�nue to volunteer to work over�me with their previous department, if they choose. The individual may be loaned back to opera�ons during periods where training volume is limited and called back to Training when there are increased training demands or to meet produc�on needs in cases where the employee has a unique quali ca�on.
