Those who came to Canada seeking new opportunities not only found them, but also helped build our country—their new home—in many different ways. That is why I am so delighted that Immigrant Services Calgary is honouring so many new Canadians who have contributed to the growth of their community and have enriched our nation as a result. The Immigrants of Distinction Awards gala is a chance both to recognize their accomplishments and to say thank you for helping to make this a smarter, more caring country.

I congratulate all those receiving this honour and I wish everyone a

wonderful gala.
