I have a passion for business that has recently motivated me to undertake four years of full time intensive study. My goal was to formalise the business knowledge and experience I have gained through twenty years of participation in the Australian Army, Mining, Construction, Earthmoving, Transport and Logistics Industries. While being employed in these industries I filled the roles of Specialist Reconnaissance/ Sniper Soldier, Plant Operator, Supervisor, Company Owner and Director, Project Manager and more recently Business and Operations Manager.

The result of my passion for business, and personal commitment and drive towards continual improvement and high performance outcomes, has resulted in the recent completion of a Bachelor of Business University Degree (December 2015), comprising of a Double Major in Business Management and Human Resource Management. I have also completed a Diploma of Project Management, Diploma of Work Place Health and Safety, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in that time.

I have the desire to be a part of a progressive organisations’ leadership team and am confident that the skill set, practical experience and intellectual capital gained through my workplace experience, and the attainment of the mentioned professional qualifications, that I can have an immediate and significant impact upon the achievement of organisational objectives and outcomes, and the organisations Triple Bottom Line. As a Mining and Logistics Administrator at Toll Express I am the primary point of contact for major corporate clientele dealing with related Mining Services and downstream supply chain support services.

Overview:

Calin Earthmoving & Haulage were responsible for the excavation, load, haul and delivery of one million tonnes of crushed and screened quarry product from Crushing Industries Australia Moranbah quarry in Queensland, to a Broadmeadow Coal Mine during its construction phase which was being Project Managed by Bechtel. The project utilised triple road-train prime movers, crushing plant, 40 tone articulated dump trucks, 120 and 30 tonne excavators, WA450 loaders, haul road maintenance plant and equipment, and outsourced products and services to complete the project within the planned time and budget constraints.

Role Accountabilities:

Contract administration and management of site operations Manage fleet and equipment operations to achieve the successful delivery of quarry

product in a safe, efficient and effective manner Financial control of operational budget, expenditure, cost and profit forecasts Conduct client reporting and liaisons with the Bechtel Site Superintendent, Bechtel
