PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE 1993 – to date: Pickerigs Lifts Europe (Plater / Fabricator, Team leader)
As a Plater/Fabricator my job involves working to and producing a wide variety of manufactured parts to a very high standard. I am involved in most of the processes in producing bespoke manufactured parts & components. I’m involved from the design stage through to the finished product on a daily basis, liaising with the drawing office and customer frequently. I work within an ISO9001 accredited organisation were inspection and quality control is an essential part of my daily role. I was promoted to the position of fabrication shop team leader. This requires attending production planning meetings,
organising & running a well equipped manufacturing department and leading a team of 7 people. I also have control over the steel stock, this involves keeping inventory of and re-ordering when low any of the many types of steel, stainless steel & aluminium we hold on stock, plus ordering any specific to contract materials that are required.
