Provider Information Management System (PIMS) Instructions for HTW Certification and Attestation Providers that want to participate in the Healthy Texas Women (HTW) program must complete the HTW Certification Form to provide services to HTW clients in accordance with HHSC rules and contract requirements. The HTW tab in PIMS will only populate for those provider types who are allowed to certify online and/or provide HTW services. Providers with access to the TMHP secure portal can now do the following within PIMS: Complete the HTW certification process and submit the certification form electronically. Providers that submit the certification form electronically are no longer required to mail a completed copy of the certification form that includes an original, handwritten signature. Indicate whether HTW women’s health and family planning services are provided at each Texas Provider Identifier (TPI) level location. The HTW program offers services such as woman’s health exams, health screenings, and birth control. Verify and correct contact information during the certification process. Note: Providers certifying through the Provider Enrollment on the Portal (PEP) or paper will follow the existing process. Refer to the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual (TMPPM). Provider Information Management System (PIMS) Instructions for HTW Certification and AttestationProviders that want to participate in the Healthy Texas Women (HTW) program must complete the HTW Certification Form to provide services to HTW clients in accordance with HHSC rules and contract requirements. 2) Log in using the Sign in pop up screen.

3) Under the Manage Provider Accounts heading, select Provider Information Management System and log in.

Note: The following screen will display if there are multiple National Provider Identifiers (NPIs) attached to the user name entered. Providers will need to certify for each eligible NPI.

4) HTW certification will be available on the HTW Attestation tab in PIMS. Click on the HTW Attestation tab to complete the HTW certification process. Click the Edit button and select the Certify for next year check box to certify electronically.

Note: Providers must recertify annually between October and December. After December, providers must then recertify for the current year by selecting Certify for the current year.

5) Selecting the Yes, I affirm that the statements listed in the certification are true and correct checkbox will launch the certification statement automatically in a new window/tab (based on Windows configuration). Click the Continue button to view additional requirements prior to completing certification.

6) The Healthy Texas Women section will hide and a HTW women’s health and family planning services and Address Verification section will expand. Providers are required to select Yes or No to respond to the HTW women’s health and family planning services Attestation question for all TPIs associated with the NPI. Required fields are indicated by a red dot. A red exclamation symbol will appear if a required selection is not made.

7) Providers also are required to select Yes or No to respond to the Address Update column as part of the attestation process. To indicate that the address requires updates, click the Yes radio button in the Address Update column to make the fields editable and display with a yellow background. To indicate that the address is accurate, click the No radio button option to disable the address fields.

Note: It is extremely important to review the Physical Address of Service listed for each TPI to ensure accuracy. This information will be included in the HTW Online Provider Look-up, (located at www.healthytexaswomen.org), which is available to clients who are searching for a provider.

8) Required fields are indicated by a red dot. A red exclamation point and error description box will appear if a required selection is not made.

9) If the Yes button was selected in the Address Update column but the Physical Address of Service field was not updated, the address fields will be outlined in red and an error notification will populate. Remember, by selecting No in the Address Update column, you are indicating that the address is accurate. By selecting Yes, you are indicating that the address needs to be updated.

10) Once the HTW women’s health and family planning services and Address Verification section is complete, click the Save button at the bottom of the section.

11) Providers that submit the certification form electronically are no longer required to mail a completed copy of the certification form. The provider’s certification date and status information will display in the provider’s current Healthy Texas Women (HTW) certification section. Once a provider’s certification status is updated, no further action is required until the next certification period; however, if a provider wants to make a change to the current year’s certification, a provider may do so by selecting the Change certification for the current year check box.
