Object clauses

• An object clause functions as the object in a sentence.

• Mr. Jiang is very busy. Last year he bought a robot. He thinks that robots can do a lot of things for him. And his robot did a lot of things for him. When he got up in the morning, breakfast was already made. It also made a lunch box for him every day. While Mr. Jiang was at work, the robot would wash the dishes, sweep the floor, make the bed and air the room. Mr. Jiang was very pleased with his robot. He thought that it was right to buy a robot.
