SEPTEMBER 2012 Dear Friends, Summer may be winding down, but preparations are well underway to make this the most exciting fall at PBS39, EVER! September marks the one year anniversary of our move to the PBS39 Public Media and Educa- tion Center (PMEC) on the Steel- Stacks Campus. Thanks to the support of viewers like you, our new PMEC allows us to serve the commu- nity in many meaningful ways---from engaging conversation following a live Tempo InDepth taping to host- ing local students for an electronic field trip session about the War of 1812 to inspiring the next generation of filmmakers with PBS39 Produc- tion U. We will celebrate our anniversary by hosting an Open House September 8th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The day will be filled with kid-friendly activities, live music, and tours of the PBS39 studios. Please make plans to bring the family and join us! I also want to share the fabulous lineup coming to PBS39 this fall. We revamped our schedule to include more of the programming you love— series like Doc Martin and Sherlock. We will continue to showcase PBS fa- vorites like Antiques Roadshow and Masterpiece Theater, but we are de- lighted to offer new and exciting pro- grams you just won’t find anywhere else on your dial. Our programming will challenge you to think, feel, and learn something new every day. We are still the PBS39 you watch and love---only better. We hope you enjoy this new schedule and truly value your feed- back. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] or call Member Services at 610-984-8100. Kind regards, Timothy S.
