    MAP Tesng is Now Finished:

    The nal MAP tests have been completed today and the

    MAP tesng window for the MS students is now

    closed. As soon as the ES and HS students have all n-

    ished their MAP tests, we will be able to close the

    schools tesng window and generate the Student Pro-

    gress Report that is sent home to parents. The exact

    date upon which these reports will be sent home will be

    announced in next weeks Parent Bullen.

    MS Drama:

    The MS drama students will be presenng a perfor-

    mance of How to Succeed in Middle School-Without

    Really Trying on Tuesday and Wednesday of the com-

    ing week. This comedy should appeal to all MS students

    and we welcome parents who want to come and sup-

    port this event. Performance dates/mes are as fol-

    lows:

    Tuesday, March 22 from 16:00 -16:30 in the AMR

    (free seang)

    Wednesday, March 23 at MS lunch me 11:00 -

    11:30 in the MS Courtyard.

    Internaonal Day:

    Internaonal Day is on Wednesday, March 23rd. ES/MS

    students and faculty are encouraged to wear naonal

    dress/heritage clothing to school on this day.

    Students are allowed to wear naonal team sports jer-

    sey/t-shirt (New Zealand rugby shirt, England football

    shirt etc). Students will aend their rst block before

    proceeding to the ES Courtyard for the annual ag un-

    furling ceremony at 08:40. The MS will be hosng a

    student assembly starng at 11:50 with a focus on in-

    ternaonalism. Parents are welcome to aend the ag

    unfurling ceremony but sadly there will be limited space

    for parents in the FAT once the 715 students and 100faculty members are in place!

    Vacaon!

    Whether you are traveling for the upcoming break or

    enjoying a family stay-caon here in Manila, we hope

    that you have a wonderful me. Please stay safe and

    enjoy the me away from school. Remember to allow

    your child some me to relax and recharge their baer-

    ies and be mindful not to over-schedule their break!

    Baby, Baby Baby!:

    Congratulaons to Ms. Karianne Cook (Grade 7 Science

    teacher) and Mr. Jusn Cook (HS) on the birth of baby

    Charlie! Both mother and baby are doing well and are

    now at home.

    CWW Reecons:

    In the weeks following CWW, students have been con-

    ducng meaningful reecons about their experienc-

    es. The G7 students have created CWW Reecve Tiles

    and these are now posted outside the Wellness hallway

    as well as outside the MS Oce. The les capture the

    individual connecons students made while engaged in

    meaningful service learning experiences. Below are

    work can be viewed.

    Need to top up?ISM goes cashless in SY16-17!

    Starng SY2016-2017 ISM will implement a full debit system in the MS/HS Canteen. The debit system

    provides customers with a cashless payment system once the customer's ID has been loaded with funds.

    Parents and Students are encouraged to start using the debit system if they

    aren't already doing so.

    A comedy about how to make it through

    We are excited to welcome trombonist, Christopher Bill to the middle

    school on April 4. He will be meeng with classes and performing an all

    -school assembly at 2:45 P.M. Parents are welcome to aend.

    Christopher is an up-and-coming musician based outside of

    New York City. His YouTube Channel has been gaining popu-

    larity since the summer of 2012 when he posted his version of

    Owl City's "Fireies" for six trombones. His cover of Pharrell

    Williams' "Happy" where Chris uses a looping staon to com-

    pose the song on the spot went viral in the spring of 2014. His

    videos have amassed over 9 million views and a following of

    over 75,000 subscribers. In April 2014, Chris independently

    released his rst cover album, Breakthrough followed by hisChristmas album, Smiling's My Favorite. Since graduang from

    the Purchase Conservatory, Chris enjoys a busy schedule of

    performances, clinics, and master classes.

    Important informaon on Re-Enrollment for SY 2016-17

    Dear Parents:

    We will begin On-line Re

    -Enrollment for school year 2016

    -17 on Monday, April 4. As before, parents will have to log into

    PowerSchool in order to do this. Below are instrucons to help. If you are not sure of your PowerSchool log-in or need sup-

    port, please contact the Middle School Oce.

    Please note that you must complete re-enrollment Steps 1 & 2 by 4pm on Friday, May 27 at the latest. PowerSchool will close

    on that date unl the start of SY16-17. We have over 500 students on our waitlist, and we will assume that your children are

    leaving if you have not completed the re-enrollment process.

    If your child/ren will not be returning for SY16-17, you MUST follow the Withdrawal Procedure and submit a Withdrawal No-

    caon Form on or before Friday, May 13. Click here for more informaon.

    Online Re-Enrollment

    Step 1: Visit www.ismanila.org and click on Parent Portal under the Quick Links drop -down menu. Log-in to the Parent Portal

    and click on PowerSchool. Please refer to the aached guide on How to Access Online Re-Enrollment.

    Step 2: Look for the Re-Enrollment Clearance icon on the le hand panel. Click on the icon. Create your Re-enrollment Clear-

    ance Form and click submit aer updang. You will receive an email nocaon verifying that you have been successful up-

    dang your childs record.

    Step 3: Submit Forms (if applicable)

    Students entering Grade 6 will be required to download and complete the Standard Physical Examinaon Form

    (with ECG) which should be submied to the ISM Health Clinic as soon as possible.

    Students entering Grade 7 will be required to download and sign the ISM Drug Policy Form which should be sub-

    mied to the MS Oce as soon as possible.

    Step 4 You must sele all charges for SY15-16 which may include incidental fees not covered by company sponsorship (ATAC

    uniforms, instrument rental, payment for lost textbook, etc.).

    Step 5: You must pay the rst quota of tuion fees for SY16-17 to receive your FINAL CLEARANCE NOTIFICATION for your

    child to aend class on August 4, 2016.

    Tuion and Fees: Please sele your accounts through our Cashiers Oce.

    Successful compleon of required steps will generate a NO REPLY email conrmaon. Compleon of all steps is necessary in

    order to receive your FINAL CLEARANCE NOTIFICATION.

    Congratulaons MS track team for your eorts at Brent last

    Saturday. The following new MS track records were set at

    the Brent meet.

    Congratulaons to Junior Trinity McPherson who broke her

    own 100m record at Brenton Saturdaywith a me of 12.32.

    Trinity also set a new record for the 200m with a me of

    26.25 which broke Smir Sridhars 2011 record of 26.44.

    Today we host the ISM twilight track meet, come on out to

    support our HS/MS track athletes at the nal meet for this

    year for the local season.

    Well done MS Boys badminton teams who won 2nd and 3rd

    place at the LSMS Badminton meet at Brent.

    Gymnascs results from the BSM meet are nowposted to

    the Gymnascs results blog page. Well done to all our Bear-

    cats gymnasts who competed at BSM. We now look forward

    to hosng our own ISM Goodwill Meet onMay 7th.

    Well done to our HS soball teams and Badminton team

    who parcipated in and gained some valuable preparaonat the pre-IASAS exchanges this past weekend in Singapore
