    Pakistan is off-track on all three indicators. Rates of primaryenrolment and completion increased up to the mid-2000sbut thereafter slowed and fluctuated to 57 percent and 50percent in 2011/12. The literacy rate is 58 percent overall, butthis is highly skewed towards males 70 percent of males areliterate compared to 47 percent of females.
