About the Job You will teach on the YCPW Provision, plan and prepare appropriate teaching resources and ensure high quality delivery. You will develop partnerships and collaboration opportunities with a range of private industry, statutory and voluntary bodies to support the development of the YCPW programme. In consultation with the YCPW Coordinator you will ensure that internal quality procedures are carried out effectively according to awarding body regulations and requirements.
About youYou will have experience of YCPW provision delivery, and of implementation and participation in internal quality procedures. You will have experience of curriculum and assessment design including teaching and learning materials development.. You will have a teaching qualification equivalent to Level 3, and a degree or equivalent in Youth Work. Qualifications in Adult Education Guidance, Internal Quality and IT would be an advantage.

Job Title: Tutor, Support & Development (YCPW)
Work Base: Covering South West and Mid Wales, work base to be agreed
Reporting to: YCPW Coordinator
Job Purpose:
1. To teach up to 12 hours per week on provision as agreed with YCPW Coordinator2. To provide support to tutors and learners in line with the learning programme 3. To develop YCPW provision in line with current strategic, quality, curriculum and financial
planning4. To be a member of, and participate in, relevant groups, meetings and internal quality activities
which may, at times, entail travel across Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales5. To maintain and submit accurate records and learner evidence.
Length of contract: Fixed term (12 months)
Hours of work: 17.5 hours per week
Pay scale: MG1 – MG4
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Teach up to 12 hours per week, which will include some travel to community based provision venues and may include evening or weekend work and/or periods outside the academic year, that is to say, a teaching timetable all year round.
2. Deliver high quality teaching and learning that conforms to quality standards set out by Welsh Government and all internal quality procedures.
3. Develop partnerships and collaboration opportunities with a wide range of private industry, statutory and voluntary bodies to support the ongoing development of the programme available to learners.
4. Plan and prepare appropriate learning resources, including lesson plans and schemes of work, to enable learners to achieve and attain excellence.
5. Support and extend learners’ experience by introducing a range of cross cutting themes, including use of technology and essential skills, visits outside the classroom and appropriate encouragement and promotion of the Welsh language.
6. Be responsible for monitoring of learner performance, including attendance, prompt submission of all course administration and paperwork and report regularly to the relevant
manager/coordinator by means of completed registers, support tracking forms and all other administrative paperwork requirements, including those related to external awarding bodies or regulatory agencies.
7. Be responsible for ensuring submission and entry of all leaner data and evaluation as appropriate to role and agreed priorities.
8. In consultation with the YCPW Coordinator, develop provision in line with current strategic, quality, curriculum and financial planning requirements.
9. Participate in, and input to, team meetings as appropriate to own role and agreed priorities.
10. In consultation with the YCPW Coordinator, be jointly responsible for ensuring internal quality procedures are carried out effectively in line with current awarding body requirements.
11. Occasionally take a lead on appropriate meetings and internal verification including providing training to internal staff and external partners as required.
12. In consultation with MIS, curriculum and Quality staff, be jointly responsible for the operation of the internal quality procedures that ultimately ensure learners receive correct and timely accreditation for their achievements.
13. Provide support for individual and/or groups of learners and staff accessing learning resources as appropriate to need and resource availability.
