Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed. Alleluia! Let us all say Alleluia!

When it was evening on that day.... the doorswere shut.... the disciples hid behind lockeddoors in fear. Jesus came and stood amongthem and said, “Peace be with you”.

What a great Easter celebration we had onthat day, the church was packed! Now we getto business - life as usual and yet, Jesusstood among the disciples as he does todayand greets all of us, “Peace be with you”. Allof us, with all our strengths, weaknesses andour doubts, with all our failings and all of ourwarts. Peace be with you”. He still greets uswith peace, grounded in patience, love, andforgiveness. Simply; peace. We may neversee or touch His hand or His side, but we willsee the marks of His presence in the breadbroken and wine given and shed for us. Itbrings peace.

“Now on that same day, two (disciples)were going to a village called Emmaus. While they are talking... Jesus himselfcame over and went with them. Heblessed, broke the bread.... their eyeswere opened and they recognized Him...He vanished.” (Luke 24)

Now, as we and the disciples get back tolife as usual, are still celebrating Christ’spresence among us. Each followingweek, we recognize Him. He may lookand act different, but this is ok, He is stillhere in and amongst us and He stillgreets us. “Peace be with you” as wegreet one another , the Peace of the Lordbe with you always.

OUR REDEEMER NURSERYSCHOOL

In the month of May we turn our attentionto our spring activities at Our RedeemerNursery School. A sure sign of spring isthat I am simultaneously working on ourcurrent events as well as planning andpreparing for Summer Fun 2017 as wellthe 2017 - 2018 school year. This busytime of the year is quite rewardingbecause it confirms to me that our earlychildhood program continues to have agreat reputation in the community.

Another sure sign of spring is that ourchildren have planted seeds, someflowers to present to their moms orgrandmas at the Mother's Day Tea. OnMay 11th or 12th, Mom or Grandma willvisit their child's class to enjoy iced teaand sweet treats all while listening to thechildren sing special songs. The childrenlove to surprise the special ladies in theirlives with a special handmade gift!

The colors of the month are patriotic red, white and blue. Children and staff willwear red, white and blue to celebrate! Learning themes for the month areanimals and their habitats, insects, andplant life. We will observe the butterfly'slife cycle. Waiting for a butterfly to hatchfrom a chrysalis is always an excitingtime for us. When the butterfly's wingsare fully formed we let them free to fly offinto the wild. Always a bittersweetmoment for our little ones.

Field trips are in order this month. Ourthree year old classes will enjoy a fieldtrip to the Seaford Library. Pre-K willexplore Tackapausha Museum and

Preserve and enjoy a Wild LifePresentation in their theater.

May 26 is the day for All School FamilyPicnic at Seamans Neck Park. Thepicnic is made possible through ouryearly fund raising efforts. The picnic isa fun day that includes bouncers, facepainting, and cotton candy.

Registration forms for the 2017/2018school year have been steadily comingin. If you know of someone with apre-school age child, please tell themabout our Early Childhood Program.
