The Fram Museum (The Polar Ship Fram), shows the history of the polar explorers. Here you’ll find the world’s most famous polarship, Fram, from 1892, the museums main attraction.

The Sights

The Kon-Tiki MuseumHere you can see the original Kon-Tiki raft (1947), stat-ues and a secret family cave from Easter Island (1956), the papyrus boat Ra II (1970), and an exciting collection of archaeological finds from Easter Island, East Polyne-sia, Galapagos and Peru.

The Norwegian Maritime Museum, offers visitors the experience of old sailing ships and steam vessels through our exhibitions of ship interiors, ship models and maritime objects. Don’t forget to view the famous videograph, while there.

Vigeland Sculpture Park The Frogner Park is part of the Frogner Manor and is the most famous park in Norway, it was created by sculptor Gustav Vigeland between the years 1907 and 1942. Most of the sculptures date from the years 1926 to 1942.

The Oslo Opera,with its impressive architecture was opened in the early spring of 2008 and has since won 2 awards for its design. The building was designed by the Norwegian firm Snøhetta.

Viking Ship Museum, at Bygdøy is one of the two buildings comprising the Museum of Cultural History. In the Viking Ship Museum there are grave finds from Tune, Gokstad, Oseberg and Borre.

Holmenkollen,is one of Norway’s most popular tourist attraction, and host of the annual FIS World Cup ski competitions. 4000 years of ski history and a beautiful view of Oslo and the surrounding fjord and forest. 9
