Opportunities Week of December 21, 2018 Reminder: LifeSci NYC Summer Internship Program: The City of New York is running an innovative summer internship program for students interested in pursuing careers in the life sciences industry, providing an opportunity to work in a range of companies from early-stage startups to large pharmaceutical and biotech firms. Please note, students MUST either be enrolled in a New York City-based college or university, or be a New York City resident enrolled in any college or university. The internship is looking for talented and dedicated students interested in pursuing business or science careers in the life sciences sector. Deadline to apply is December 31st For more info, see the link on Handshake Apply here New England Science Symposium: The New England Science Symposium promotes careers in biomedical sciences, prodicing a forum for students to share their biomedical and health-related research activities through oral or poster presentations, to engage discussions related to career development in the sciences. The Burke Neurological Institute focuses on Neurology and Neuroscience, and has several laboratories with research interests that span from basic and molecular neuroscience to clinical rehabilitation research. The program is an excellent opportunity for students to engage in cutting-edge research as all participants will become member of a laboratory and work with technicians, students, post- doctoral fellows, and the principal investigator throughout the course of the summer. CELT's Academic Technologies Services Student Internship: CELT’s Academic Technologies Services support team is looking for interns for Spring 2019! Undergraduate students who are interested in becoming teaching assistants, educators, pursuing Higher Education Administration as a graduate program, and/or are interested in learning more about IT are encouraged to apply. Candidates will gain experience in a host of skills, specifically relating to designing and facilitating workshops for their peers, customer service and quality assurance, and technical support. Candidates who successfully complete the internship will be offered a student assistant position as part of CELT's academic technology support team. The Burke Neurological Institute invites applications from qualified undergraduate students for its Summer Student Research Program. This program provides an opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research for those students interested in pursuing a career in biomedical

sciences. Participants will be part of a laboratory research project related to neural repair and rehabilitation. Summer

research students have extensive interaction with their faculty mentors and their staff.

The 2019 program will run from June 3rd to August 9th Trainees will receive a stipend of $3,000

Housing and transportation are the responsibility of each traineeApplications are due by March 9th, 2019
