Koinonikos - The November issue of the Dayspring newsletter is now available for pick-up in the narthex for those who have chosen that option.

A Big Thank You to all of those who gave “the Gift of Life” during our semi-annual blood drive last Sunday. We had 23 potential donors, of which 18 were able to donate. Those donations can save up to 54 lives! We also had 3 youth donate for the first time. Thank you so much!

Dayspring Youth Ministry (DYM):* 10:15 - 11:30 - Sr. High in Room 111* 10:15 - 11:30 - Jr. High in Room 110* Fall Festival: This year’s Fall Festival for Dayspring families will

be Saturday, October 30 from Noon – 7:00PM. Additions this year are a Bounce House and a cotton candy machine. We need youth and parents to help set up the Haunted House room, the Wagon Ride room, and the various booths. Setup will be done on Friday, October 29 from 6:00 – 9:00PM. Please let Kris know if you can help.

The Explorer’s Class - “Paul, Luther and Wesley: Our United Methodist

Heritage” is the topic for the new series in the Explorer’s Class which begins this morning. Jane Baker is facilitating this class at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room. Come and learn more about the core United Methodist beliefs and their scriptural and historical origins!

Contemporary Issues - We are studying the book, The First Paul: Reclaiming the Radical Visionary Behind the Church’s Conservative Icon for the next 8 weeks. The discussion will be led by Shannon Buzard. Class meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Adult Room.

Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time! Come and be part of this fun group.

Singles at Dayspring -Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. Oct. 24 - Elephant Bar - 3405 W. Chandler Blvd., in front of Chandler Mall.

“Connections” is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide the names of “Connections” members for you to contact.
