UMOM Domestic Violence Shelter Needs - Next Sunday bring: Small blankets, children’s books, children’s toys and art supplies. Welcome bag items: soap, cosmetics, nail polish, hair products and deodorant. Books in Spanish for children and adults. Towels and new pillows. Quilts. Thanks for all that has been donated so far!

Advent Devotional - The Spiritual Formation Committee is compiling an Advent Devotional comprised of writings from our congregation. Contemporary Issues - This 10:30 a.m. adult class is studying the

origins of the Bible, how it has evolved, and how it is interpreted today. This journey of discovery will help us explore and understand how this book has become the most influential writings in human history. Join us as we read, discuss and learn about the Bible’s ancient beginnings and our present day interpretations.

When Children Ask About God: A Guide for Parents Who Don’t Always Have All the Answers - Monday Moms & Dads Group will begin a study of this book by Harold Kushner on Oct. 24 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. in Room 111. Singles at Dayspring -Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. October 23 - Elephant Bar - 3405 W. Chandler Blvd., in front of Chandler Fashion Mall.

“Connections” is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide the names of “Connections” members for you to contact.

Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time! Come and be part of this fun group!

The Boutique is just a few weeks away! Buy your tickets this weekend or next between services. You won’t want to miss Opening Night - catered by Robert’s Catering. A fabulous Italian Dinner awaits you with live singing by “Hosanna”. Opening Night tickets are $25 and include a goody bag. Raffle tickets, mystery bags, and boutique bucks also will be on sale. Don’t forget your check book!
